Mooshagian would be pretty welcome at La Verne too... good proximity to the night life in Pasadena is a plus.  ;)
Hail to the Orange!!!

if you're starting at a 1AA school, why would you transfer?

Because, if DogPower is in fact Bobby Mooshagian, his father got fired at Sac State.  :-\  :)

Steve's contract was "not renewed".

Bobby was recruited by Akron.  He could go there and lose a year.
Maybe Ohio is too cold for him, so Mt. Union would be out.

Menlo is close to Bobby's hometown of Fresno.

Sacramento State Football is a mess. I know this because I was raised in the area. All local kids know that if you want to play local ball you go to UC Davis. If Sac State could keep 10% of the local talent they would wreck house in the Big Sky. I really hope that Coach Sperbeck can change it around at Sac. State.

Tripped the light fantastic with a UC Davis safety - them boys can cock the hammer.  Any thoughts DogPower?

I grew up five miles from Davis. My Father is an alum and he was dragging me to games at two years old. Davis does football right, always has. I can't wait to see the new stadium. I also hope the Hornets from Sac. State can pull it together. Represent the Valley like it should be.

RFB,
I guess i am still not convinced that UOR's old offense of system will get them through the 07 season. Don't get me wrong about it being a success in the pass, but with so much scouting and film review that all SCIAC schools have done on each other through out the years, the systems become to predictable. Case in point, before the 2000 season, Oxy was known to be a running option team, something that all opposing schools would study and capitalize on. Yet, when a new offensive of system was installed you could have bet that all opposing defenses were not sure what was going on.

If Redlands comes out gunslinging it 50% of the time during the game what's to stop Cal Lu and Oxy to have their best backs(f.s./c.b.) and incoming freshmen backs on the UOR recievers all day?
You also have to consider the O-line situation at UOR. THey will be turning to inexperinced youth after losing close to 5 upper classmen who couldn't handle the load last season. This will add another problem to the "U" come next season. I just don't see how the New O.C. will handle it.

RFB,
Sac State should have hired Tisdale. He is a local guy that has experience in D1 and has a good reputation for recruiting. The Sac State program is hurting. Rumor from up north is there might be some consideration of dropping the program.

Good points. The key to Redlands pass offense is getting the right personel. When I played, opposing teams knew what we were doing. They just didn't have the athletes to keep up with us. Redlands has always had success when they run their five wide/gun pass offense. I really hope they go back to it.

I was hoping they would hire Jeff Tisdale as well. He has won a WAC Championship at Nevada and has revived a dead Sierra JC program. He would have been a great fit, but getting Sperbeck is not too shabby.

You should be making your decision based on academics first. All three are very good schools. Regarding football, Oxy and Redlands historically are very successful football programs. Chapman is an up and coming program. You can't go wrong with any of them. Good luck in your search and enjoy college.

Base your decision on the academic fit for your interests and abilities, not just football.  We all have our favorite schools, but this is a life decision.
