tooth   Sounds like you ate and drank your way around and through Spokane.  Thats what I call a road trip!   I'll have to get some insight from you for our trip up there week one.  It also sounds like you gained a few pounds and inches. :D

QuoteMy first extended visit to Spokane and it was great.  A couple of great lunches and beer at Clinkerdaggers while we watched the river run (I really enjoyed the fish & chips, the prime rib french dip, the local pale ale . . . not a big fan of the huckleberry lemonade though).  Reception was at the Spokane Athletic Club.  Ate at the italian restaurant at Lusso's hotel and enjoyed a fine family barbeque out in Chewelah.  The Peacock Room at the Davenport was an excellent spot for imbibing as well . . . and some excellent imbibing was done. All in all, a great . . . what might say "Amazing" . . . wedding and weekend.  [bonus points if you get the reference].

Dang tooth...the Clinkerdagger at the flour mill, the davenport, Hotel Lusso...you guys went all out!  I'm glad you enjoyed your time spent in Spokane.  The Cat fans from Mcminville love giving us Pirate fans a hard time about it.  But they live in Mcminville  ???  ;D

A home-away Whitworth-Oxy series would be great.  We're getting tired of beating up on Redlands and La Verne every year  :D

Fight ULV

I heard that the Citrus College DC is one of the top candidates for the league job.  I know I've said this before, but the job should be filled by weekend's end  :o

Uhhhm, I don't know about that U.L.V. The last time someone mentioned this, the Leo's took three steps back and were lost. To tell you the truth, it looks like ULV will likely to get their HC when school is out, top recruits have picked other SCIAC schools and when spring ball is all done. I sure do hope that who ever they bring in, that he can find quick solutions in keeping the Leo's from Sinking in the SCIAC for the next two years.

WOW!!! ULV still hasn't hired a head coach.  I see the reasoning though, I sneaked in a tape recorder at the most recent administration meeting... here is a direct quote-
Steve Morgan(University President), " So do you think we should hire a coach yet?"  Dan Ragsdale(AD), "No Steve, I'm thinking maybe we just dissolve the football program and redirect those funds to the womens volleyball program and mens golf team." Morgan, "Sweet!"

See,  it all makes sense now :'(

Hail to the Orange!!!

Extremely funny....lmao......if I could give you +k I would.  I'm sure that other Leo fans feel the same way.  Hopefully the players wont abandon ship and stick with the program. I would hate to see the current/returning players lose out on the fun of playing.  Good luck to them.

Congrats to Michael Allen I hope he gets picked and makes it to the Big Show.  It would be a big plus for d3 football if he makes it to the NFL.

I may be wrong, but I suspect that a DIIIer has not gone as early or earlier than the 4th round since Ken Anderson of Augustana College (a DIII institution now but not technically a DIII institution then because DIII was not formed until 1973) went in the 3rd round in 1971.

In 1982 Pete Metzelaars, TE from Wabash, was drafted in the 3rd round by Seattle. Give me some more time, and my memory may produce some more early round DIIIers in the last 35 years.

In a mock draft, scout.com predicts Michael Allen goes in the fourth round.

This connects to some kind of high school rumor board with people bad mouthing each other.  What a waste.

I did go to the home page of this and looked at the names in the NFL draft.  Allen was listed as number 231.  Do the math, and that will put him in the seventh round.  We are all hoping for a fourth round, but  I have no idea how good this ranking service is. :-\

The site changed the locationof the article.  type in mock draft in the search box and it apprears.  I have no idea why they did it.  The first mock draft has him 120th.

Pat Coleman

The last D-III player to go in the fourth round was as recently as 2002, when the Titans took Tony Beckham of UW-Stout at 115 overall.

I did just that.  He is listed 208, very late 6th round.  That is still a good spot for a D3 player.
