GF  Remember it is a mock draft and the predictions change after the predictors know who went in the earlier rounds.  So, he was originaly predicted to go 120th, then to 231 and finally 208.

sd,

Please note the date of this mock draft  (April 9).  It is the first one that came up when I did your search.

When you have a witness in court, aren't you supposed to know what their answer will be? :-[

That is really a bad explanation for your nit pickiness.  The people doing the draft changed their position.  So you critize me....cheez ??? ::)

Show me the site where 120 appears. I showed you mine.

By the way, he was 231, EXACTLY as the April 9 mock draft predicted.
Amazing. :o

Fight ULV

Brown Eagle, I would love to say that you're wrong, but not sure I 'd be able to completely defend it since there has been little love for the football program at ULV from the powers above.  It's sad because there are staff members and players who really want to put the program back to where it was in the mid 90s

Do you think they are they trying to get another Roland Ortmayer?  He truly represented all that was good in Division III.

If that's what they're looking for then they are going to be looking for a long time.  If they could find somebody that wasn't just half the football coach but half the person Ort was they would be lucky.
Hail to the Orange!!!

ULV in the mid 90's was a beast of a program. They had size, speed, and they played a physical hit you in the mouth style of football. Redlands and ULV has some real battles back then, it was a lot of fun to play against them. They would have won a fourth straight title in 1996, but we were able to defeat them in OT to end their run. It has been downhill every since for ULV. It would be good to see them get back to that level someday as it would be good for the conference

Any word on Collins getting signed as a free agent?  I would think that someone would want to give him a shot...and if he doesn't get into the NFL will he try CFL or move on into the "real world"?  I'm sure he'll be successful no matter what his decision is.

It sure is sad to both hear and read that ULV has yet to find an HC.
In fact, what's even more sad is that if any of those ULV members of the 90's program that RFB is refering to heard about this, i am sure they will consider not donating any of their hardworking money to ULV's current Athletic dept.
Like i mentioned before this weekend, it looks like ULV will not have a coach until the summer. All signs on ULV's campus, from the student body and the campus newpaper all indicate that no one care's about the football program at La Verne. Its just sad.

On the brightside, i am sure Mr. Collins will sign with someone. However, i am not sure why Oxy hasn't mentioned what was Mr. Collins choice.

The UR Bulldogs returned from N.O. to start the first day of spring practice today.  Work hard, have fun and stay healthy.  Good luck Dawgs.

First off, i am glad to hear that the UOR program had another successful eye openning experience and trip to N.O. I hope that all of the young guys that went for the first time came back with an experience that will teach them to be even more humble. So great great job.

Oxy has released it's 2007 schedule via the article posted below.  The website has this article, but the schedule page still shows the 2006 schedule results.

Only 22 weeks to kickoff!

Enjoy!

Los Angeles (April 5, 2007)

Occidental football began spring workouts this week in preparation for a 2007 season filled with numerous storylines. The Tigers will enter the season with a school record 26-game regular season winning streak and hopes of winning an unprecedented fourth consecutive SCIAC title.

The Tigers have won 15 conference titles in program history, ten in the last 25 years under veteran head coach Dale Widolff, and have finished in the nation's top 15 in each of the last three seasons.

The Tigers start the season with three straight road trips for the first time since 1991. Occidental opens in Portland, Oregon Sept. 8 against Lewis & Clark and travels to Atherton, Calif. Sept. 15 to face Menlo College, back on the schedule for the first time since 2001.

After an early bye week, Occidental begins SCIAC play Sept. 29 at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The Tigers have had the Stags' number in recent years, winning the last four meetings.

Four of the Tigers' next five contests are home dates, starting with an important SCIAC match-up against Redlands Oct. 6. The Tigers host La Verne Oct. 13, one of two conference teams to feature a new head coach in 2007.

The 110th meeting between Occidental and Pomona-Pitzer, the oldest college football rivalry in Southern California, takes place Oct. 20 at Merritt Field in Claremont. Occidental holds a 58-48-3 record in the series all-time.

Cal Lutheran, a SCIAC runner-up from 2003-2005, will look to avenge last season's 28-27 loss to Occidental when it comes to Patterson Field Oct. 27.

The Tigers face Chapman University at Homecoming on Nov. 3 at 1pm and close the regular season on the road at Whittier College Nov. 10. Chapman handed Occidental its last regular season loss, 31-28 in Orange, Calif. Sept. 11, 2004.

Occidental returns eight starters on offense in 2007, including All-SCIAC running back Matt Andersen '08, who ranked third in NCAA Division III scoring (12.0ppg). A solid offensive line returns as well led by First Team All-SCIAC center Chris Kyles '08, Second Teamer Sam Emerson '09, and Honorable Mention Tom Gonzales '09.

The Tigers will rely on wide receivers Rocky Ciasulli '07 and Jordan Inabnit '10 to keep the offense motoring.

Six starters and plenty of senior leadership returning on defense with Anthony Ostland '08 at outside linebacker and James Sabo '08 at nose guard. Alex Wertheimer '10, a First Team All-SCIAC selection as a freshman, returns at defensive end alongside Honorable Mention Victor Lopez '09.

Daniel Tromello '08, who made 30.5 tackles and five interceptions in 2006, returns at safety. Punter Alex Groh, a Second Team selection, and Honorable Mention kick returner Chris Washington return on special teams.

Holy smokes tooth :o, i need to get home, take a nap and then make a sandwhich full of crow for dinner. Thanks for the update and yet another lesson for the young grasshopper. Great to hear that you are also still alive and clawing your way into the board during these slow times.  ;D
