Great job by both the stags and dawgs in their respective games.

While watching a volleyball game at the rock, the announcer at the game was mentioning that the boys in orange and black were doing well in the 2nd quarter (21-0), however that was 2 hours ago. Sorry about the late update.

As expected the leo's sure will be gunning the ball through the air this year in SCIAC play.  Great to see that the Dawg nation crawled out of the cellar and added some insight to the board. Boy, was i surprised to stags, old dawgs and new dawgs back on this board. :P

According to the D3 Scoreboard, our Oxy Tigers demolished the Lewis & Clark Pioneers 52-0.

Congratulations to Bulldog nation and to the Stags for opening with big Ws.

Good luck to the Sagehens against Colorado College.

Anyone have any info on Whittier v. Carthage?  Maybe I'm blind, can't find it on the Scoreboard.

If your information is correct Tooth, then I have to say, great job to the tigers in taking care of business and not overlooking the pio's. Sure hope Mr. Goltz and co. had an awesome day on the field.

Lots of silly opening day mistakes for the Kingsmen - at least the third kid that came in at QB looked good at times.

PLU looked pretty good, but it's always hard to tell when you're handing out free points.

I'll post more later on.  Congrats to CMS and Redlands on their wins!

I love the writeup on the Kenyon website... going on and on about how Kenyon had the better stats with respect to yardage, ball control, ToP, etc. Christ. The only thing that matters is the score. If you have 100 yards to 500 and still win.. you are the winners. That team cares way too much about their offense... to counter their author, I would say that CMS had the better defense - bending but not breaking when it mattered the most - a 4th and goal stop? Yeah.. definitely the better defensive effort. I am sure that Stanley will yell and scream and throw a tantrum tomorrow... just like he has done before ... maybe even throw the game tape against the wall and shatter it.
Damn NCAC thinks they are God... OAC is vastly superior.
With respect to CLU... that is what happens when you lose a coach and the starting QB. The team needs to come together and rally... (hopefully not around a keg). They have a good team and things will fall into place.
Should be a good year all around in the SCIAC.
Nice job to everyone thus far. Yes, even to Redlands. Hopefully no QB controversies arise on the board this year? ;)

I think we can take this score to the bank . . . the result is also posted on the Oxy Football website.

Three QB's?  Was that because of injury or bad play?

CMS could always post its release as well.

Congrats to the Redlands...as much as I hate to say it  ;)  The D-line played an amazing game for the Bulldogs.  If there is an NCAA record for batted down balls at the line of scrimmage by the d-line, Redlands now has it.

pineconefan

Congrats to Redlands.  The Dogs played a very good game.  Both teams made early season mistakes, but Redlands took better advantage.

509, thanks for the tip. Nine passes broken up for Redlands, a couple by guys with some rather large uniform numbers.

One by injury and one apparently couldn't move the ball...

Here's the CLU Release.

Glad to see Oxy beat L & C as well, of course I would have been absolutely shocked by anything but an Oxy blowout.
