Not sure if anyone had noticed but Oxy finally got their roster up.  Some stuff is still being worked on, but the bulk of the info is there.

they really recruit heavily outside the state. Is that usually the case?

Hello all,

Does anyone know where a good place to tail-gate is at Chapman?  We are a group of Redland supporters looking to tailgate on Sept 29 before the 7pm game.  Thanks in advance for any advice.

Paddymac

I went to the Menlo game and there appears to be no tailgate area near or on campus.

Thanks poet. Bummer, I was hoping to Bar-B-q before.  Rats!  I guess I'll have to go scout it

Oxy is a national liberal arts college, and draws all of its students from around the country and internationally.

The profile for the class of 2011 is as follows:

Geographic Distribution
California      39%
Other Western States   29%
Northeast   17%
Southwest   5%
Midwest   5%
South   2%
International   3%

As far as we are concerned JONES is not nearly as good as advertised, jake is so much better, take him back. RAZOR is the MAN

I find that this kind of crap is better off ignored!   ::)
There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

all i have to say is wow... bold strategy Ankeny, lets see if it works out for you.  I am not impressed at all with my alma mater, the AD is a moron and as long he is there the football program will never improve greater than 3-3 in SCIAC, thank you Christopher Ragsdale. (sorry had to vent, its tough to move from the field to the stands..)

Good Luck to All SCIAC teams playing this week...

Leos have a bye... at least Ankeny won't have to worry abou the scoreboard this week.  Long live Don Morel!

Good to have you back. Air Force in full effect on this board. ;D
I agree... I wasn't to impressed with Ragsdale. They'll miss Don although some suggest it was time for him to move on.

I hope Ankeny has more than a strategy to help the Leos turn around. From the sounds of it he viewed last weeks embarassment as nothing more than a scrimmage. We've got to give him time. I mean, the guy didn't even get a chance to recruit anybody this off season...
Hail to the Orange, Hail to the Green,
Hail to the Leos, FIGHT ULV!!!

Unfortunately all SCIAC teams have a bye this week accept for Whittier.  So I guess I'll wish good luck to the Poets...
Go TIGERS!!!

Tough days for Tiger Football.

IMHO, Whitter takes this game away from the loggers after the 3rd quarter and the poet defense has a big day for the purple people. However, it's up to the poet's O-line to make a descision about taking care of Scurlock in order for the offense to get going.  Hope you Poet Newbie's have fun and yes please give us your reports on how your poets did ASAP.

I think the Poets are going to upset the Loggers this Saturday.  They met Carthage' challenge last week.  Looks like the Poets have something to prove.

I'll root for the "Mighty Poets" this week.  Next week my Sagehens get a crack at them.

Is it my imagination or is this board a lot more quiet than last year?  I know it's a bye week for everyone but the Poets . . . good luck in Tacoma by the way . . . but I'm hearing crickets chirping . . .

Hey, Oxy men's soccer has won two straight . . . but I guess that's for a different board.
