R U a moron ? "Danny who." His name is Danny Jones and he helped give, yes mindless one it is a team game, CLU three of it's best years as a football program in it's history. Started as freshmen and I think with him at the helm the record was 28 & 7. How quickly you forget that without 11 guys on each side of the ball there is no team. Give the new QB credit but without O line blocking, receivers that can catch and a D that gives the O the ball there is no game. One game does not make a legend.
Jones is gone to a way higher level of play and he is doing fine. Let it go already.

Wow, I will be the first one to say nice job to the CLU QB yesterday since I am also the one that has said a few times how bad he was.  Danny who ;D?
SO does that kind of day get him a nod for D3football.com Team of the Week?
Anyhoo, sounds like the CMS/Oxy game was pretty entertaining.  Maybe I am way off here, and I am sure I will get some crap for this but did this game show people that OXY might not be a dominant as the past few years.  I have no idea how the game went, I am just wondering based on the score.
Did Redlands forget their "O" in the desert, but hey, a win is a win.
Looks like a pretty big showdown next week.

Dang man, no need for name calling... I'm pretty sure Wild Thing was giving the guy he had doubted before some props.
Hail to the Orange!!!

1) 6-3, 8-1, 6-3 = 20-7, not 28-7
2) I have been watching CLU football since 1969, Jones years' were good, but not a single one of them makes the all-time  top 5.  For many years at CLU 6-3 was nothing to be overjoyed about.
3) Good for him that the move to WW is going well, but make no mistake, it was the definition of a selfish move in that he had only his own interests at heart.
4) Finally, reading WT's tongue in cheek remark as serious criticism shows that you lack any sort of objectivity on the subject.

Spoken like a true  old fan Scandii..... btw, did you ever see sabertooth on the field when he and the oxy team played Cal Lu back in the late 60's???? ;)

Yeah...you should have been able to recognize him with no face mask.

I know it is unbecoming and self serving to toot my son's horn, but you must give a proud parent a break. :)  Little Ricky was named defensive player of the week for his performance against Pomona-Pitzer.

Little Ricky would never brag about it, but as parents, Lucy and I will.

Peace be with you. Cheap shoting Jones is remarkable coming from you. By your post I would guess your were there when they had leather helmuts. The point is that they all come and go except for you. Collins is gone, Jones is gone, Spurlock will go as well your , this weeks QB. Let it go. Build some facilties that resemble a classy football program. The pool is great.

There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

Hey Stealth- the golden years of CLU football was in the mid seventies as a NAIA independent (CLC not CLU, thank you) and being ranked number one or two in the nation and going to the national championship game happened numerious times. Glad that Jones brought back a series of years that were worthy. From the seventies to 2004, 2005 and 2006 has been a long time coming.

Good question newbie, but not until this entire year is done. All in good fun though.

Uhhhhhh, did I miss something, or does this  ;D not show a little bit of sarcasm?  Stealth, you really need to relax a little bit and understand it was a JOKE.  I watched DJ play his tail off at CLU and am glad to see him doing well at UWW.  Do I think it was a selfish move, yes.  Do I blame the kid, not at all.  CLU has a whole lot of ground to cover before playing with the top of the D-III world and it is good to see a kid that came from CLU doing well.  I really don't know what else to say right now.  I will not resort to your name calling and juvenile chatter at me and will just let it go becuase many of the other SCIAC posters realized it was a joke.  I said a few things on here earlier this year about the current Kingsman QB and I quickly ate those words after seeing his stats from this past saturday.  That is the ONLY reason DJ's name was even put in my post.  It was a joke and you seriously need to calm down after reading some of these posts.  Seriously man (or woman), we are all here to talk about our favorite SCIAC teams.  Take a deap breath and settle down.

PS- Peace is always with me as I do not get upset at the things people say on here, and yes, that even means some of OxyBob's comments  ;)  <------see, that was a joke.
One other thing, I never wore a helmut, but I did strap on a helmet a few times in my days.
