LOL, OB.  You think that's only five octaves?   I still think I was a level or two down from Joe Starkeyhttp://gummiwisdom.com/sounds/ThePlay-Cal25-Stanford20.au.  I really wanted to channel Jack Buck's "I don't believe what I just saw," which still gives chills to this most jaded of Dodger-haters.  Instead, I channeled my inner Gus Johnson.
Keep channeling Gus Johnson and you'll be around for a long time coming.

And since you bring up the late, great Jack Buck, I thought I'd mention that Joe Buck is a hack.
Go TIGERS!!!

Tough days for Tiger Football.

PC...I merely used the wording from a prior post.   It's just like you to look for the dark side in my post. ;)  However, she was whinning, that, not her gender, was my problem withthe article.  In fact, I read the article before it was posted and I chose to keep quiet on the subject rather than take the heat.

May be -- I haven't seen other people calling out her gender and if you didn't mean to do so you could certainly have somehow managed to exclude it.

What the hell is a bota bag?  Is that some sort of prehistoric flask??

Pretty much. It's a leather, often suede, deal that is kinda oval and curved, but comes to a point at one end with a stopper in it. It also has a handy strap for carrying. They were popular in the 60s and 70s. I think they were meant for wine, but we used them for whatever concoction we were drinking. I haven't seen one in years. Prehistoric flask is a good description, but they were flexible and held more.

PC.....Quite frankly, when I first read the article, I didnt even notice it was written by a .....female.....sports writter.  I guess I just don't have the proper editing skills that big brother has.  I was not intending to offend her gender, I did have issues with the article. I hate excuses. :)

Now let's get Friday out of the way.

I'm sure I don't know what this means, either. What are you claiming here?

PC......You scrutinize each and every word I post and seem to read the worst into the post.  Sorry, just the way I feel.  I dont see you doing it with others.  You do a great job in keeping the board under control so that everyone can enjoy it. I think we all appreciate it, I know I do.  I know you must spend countless hours in monitoring. Thanks and keep up the good work.

From ATN:Still Kings of the SCIAC

While it wasn't pretty and the box score might lead you to believe otherwise, the Occidental Tigers are still the kings of the SCIAC. Even though Oxy surrendered 539 total yards of offense and allowed two 100-yard receivers for Redlands, they still were able to hold off the pesky Bulldogs for the 28-21 victory. It pushed their regular season winning streak to 30 games and secured coach Dale Widolff's 150th career victory.

That's some great recognition for the men in orange and black, but, I can assure you that as of right now, I bet they can careless if they are seen as kings.(maybe not day, such as after each victory on saturdays). However, I am sure Coach W & Co. are doing their best in reminding each and every player that all games are important and that they should worry about one game at a time. Coach W always does a good job in making sure the men understand that if they do not execute their responsibilities then there will be a huge consequence.

btw.... I am sure he's also telling them not to be milling around like sheep  ;D
