So far, CLU is outplaying Oxy.  It has nothing to do with strategy.

23-3 with 4 seconds left in the half.

It remains that at halftime.

I can't help but think if OXY loses this game, that Redlands Pool C chances are seriously damaged.  Pat, you mentioned that an 8-1 Redlands team should make it in, but I have a hard time seeing two 8-1 SCIAC teams make it in.  Thoughts?

If CLU wins, they are in the driver's seat for the playoffs.

What happens in the SCIAC if there is a 3 way tie (e.g. if Cal Lu wins tonight but loses to Redlands in a couple of weeks giving Oxy, Cal Lu and Redlands each one loss in conference <assuming no other losses for each team>)?

My thinking is that OXY loses tonight to an avg. CalWho team, thus lowering UR's SOS.  OXY win's out, still securing the Pool A.  Making Redlands loss to OXY look more perplexing.  However the flip side is that voters look at Redlands and OXY as virtual equals given how close the UR OXY game was, and it makes a distinction difficult to make, thus putting both teams in and pairing them for a first round rematch.  Is this more what you were thinking, GF?

I believe the tiebreaker is conference record, head to head, then overall record - but I could be wrong.  I beleive this has been discussed in the last few weeks.  there is a scenario in which league presidents or ad's would vote to choose the conference representative...but I don;t know how far down that comes into play.

I don't think there was a final answer.  I don't think they consider non-league games.

There may be a vote of some kind or they use the Rose Bowl rule.  I think the vote is from the other teams.

23-17 With about 5 monutes left in the 3rd.

A muffed fair catch in the red zone has led to a 30-17 CLU lead with 1:56 left in the 3rd.  Oxy's fourth turnover tonight.

Question answered by Tigersports:  In a 3 way tie,  the team who has not been to the playoffs the longest goes.  Cal Lu to the playoffs if they can win tonight (looks like it) and one more
