I believe the tiebreaker is conference record, head to head, then overall record - but I could be wrong.  I beleive this has been discussed in the last few weeks.  there is a scenario in which league presidents or ad's would vote to choose the conference representative...but I don;t know how far down that comes into play.

I don't think there was a final answer.  I don't think they consider non-league games.

There may be a vote of some kind or they use the Rose Bowl rule.  I think the vote is from the other teams.

23-17 With about 5 monutes left in the 3rd.
The announcers said that CLU will go to the dance if they win one more SCIAC game based on the Rose Bowl rule.

The natural first round game would be CLU at UWW, but it will never happen. :'(

Good call on the video, dawgs.

Just thought I'd post a link so people can go right to it.

It's too late to post anything meaningful on CLU - Oxy, other than I'm obviously happy for the Kingsmen.  I'll post something (hopefully better) later.

Thanks to Tigersports for the broadcast.

One thing we've (or at least i've) overlooked in this tiebreaker business is that Oxy still has to cooperate by beating Whittier to keep it a 3-way tie.  If Oxy loses to the Poets -- a very real possibility btw -- then Cal Lu has to beat UOR to win the conference as UOR would win the head to head with the K-men.

Congrats to the Who on their big win last night. Sounds like the men in orange and black were milling around like sheep and allowed a who team to play way above their heads. I hope this teaches the men in orange and black a lesson and that they win out the rest of their games all-out.

'Tis a sad day, all good things must come to an end . . .  :'(

Congrats to Scandi and the Cal Lu nation on what appears to be a decisive victory.  Oxy's been very lucky this year . . . (the good kind) . . .

Still got big game against Chapman and Whittier ahead, the boys can possibly share in a conference title if all the cards fall into place . . . and they find the handle.

Thanks for a great run Oxy!  Time to start the next win streak.  ;)

Hey, USC's lost two now . . . that leaves UCLA and Oxy with a league loss each in the battle for LA bragging rights.   ;D

Congrats to CLU....I guess if you are a UR fan you just cant count on Oxy for anything.

If you havn't seen it, you must watch the last play of the Trinity game on the d3 front page, it's incredibile.

Wow, more than a few good rugby moves there!

Haha, the highlight of the Trinity- Milsap game showed up on LA local news. That's awesome that two D3 schools got great exposure.

Eyewitness report from Eagle Rock:

Well, as they say, all good things must come to an end, and Oxy's regular season and SCIAC winning streaks came to a crashing and resounding halt, as Cal Lutheran thrashed the Tigers, 43-25. CLU was superior on both sides of the ball. The Kingsmen scored on several long plays, stopped Oxy nearly every time they had to, and capitalized on numerous Oxy turnovers. After CLU took a 23-3 halftime lead, Oxy came out in the 3rd quarter and scored twice to cut the lead to 23-17. The Tigers held CLU and looked to get the ball back with all of the momentum and a chance to get the lead, but Chris Washington fumbled a punt and the Kingsmen recovered on Oxy's 15. CLU scored to make it 30-17, and from then on Oxy completely unraveled.

Heartiest congratulations to CLU for a well-deserved victory.

I've been away this weekend and just saw the score. All I can say is WOW! That's too bad that the Who will slip into the playoffs with a stupid rule after they get a beatdown from Redlands.

Tom Brady

I am guessing OXY was thinking about that beat down as well.  Cal Lu had UR at home which is probably the only advantage they might have.  CLU usually plays well at home but we will see.  I guess they should worry about P-P first.
