Hey Scandii just to shed some light on some of the ULV makeovers, the pavillion was worked on from the Inside. Most of the outside structure was left alone. The "old high school gym-like structure" adjacent to the Pavillion (home of the old P.E. dept. and old bball gym) though was indeed taken down. My understanding is that is should be up by spring. Correct if I'm wrong Snowlep. Speaking of these make overs, is it true that a bigger athlethic facility is being built south of the old pavillion Snowlep?

I knew that BE - I was just impressed that the inside of the gym/competition area is much nicer now than it was back in the days of the rubber floor and the random sets of bleachers backed into various corners of the building.  It will be a sad day when the exterior architecture, which must have been designed by the great grandson of the French Explorer who "discovered" the Grand Tetons, is no longer part of the ULV skyline...

I glance at the posts once a week as a form of entertainment and do drop in a line or to from time to time as you guys really get boring. I wouldn't call D3.com a "local socal newspaper." So Stealth . . . . is it west coast envy or some other psychological debilitation from which you suffer? How you could interpret Coach Widolff's props to the Cal Lu QBs as "smack talk" suggests that you could find offense in the comment:  "Good morning."

For crying out loud, the WIAC is the toughest conference in D3, don't you have better things to do than whine about quotes?

Feel free to drop by for a "g'day mate" but keep your whining in kenosha, or whitewater, or curtiss or wherever your ego resides.

And what exactly is a "JV SIAC?" . . . oh, I know, cutting edge humor reflecting so well on Wisconsin D3 fans.

It was actually the Widolff smackdown that got my goat.  After the ass whupin laid on Oxy by the Kingsmen this past weekend, I'll let the Cal Lu faithful on this board answer to that portion of the post.

And yup, absolutely in a bad mood this morning . . . total adversarial mode . . . 

Need beer or reasonable opposing counsel . . . I know I'll have the former tonight . . . the latter, my optimism is failing.

Yeah, I'm jealous of the new facilities. I wish they were that nice when I was there. I was suprised to find the "Old Gym" along with our old locker room gone when I was back for homecoming this year. In my first year ay ULV we all slept on matresses on the old gym floor during camp! That gym smelled great after the first few days...

From what I hear, the plans are eventually to move soccer, baseball,softball and tennis (and evetually Football?) to a new athletics complex that will be built south of Arrow Highway. The University purchased some land adjacent to Brackett Airport a few years back and plans to move athletics to make room for the campus to expand and address the dire need for parking

The metro goldline also is supposed to expand from Pasadena and have a stop right on the edge of campus.  That probably wont be a reality for another 15-20 years.

I would be completely shocked if you did anything but predict a WW blowout of CLU - and would never smite you for doing so, as you would be simply expressing your opinion.

I think it's your complete inability to decipher meaning from the context of quotes that's killing any chance you have of carrying on a friendly discourse with this board.  Widolff was actually being quite complimentary in his remarks about Jones, but to get that you have to look at the context.
