Thanks for all the kind words for our broadcast last night.  We were concerned that we would miss some key moments coming in at 7-7 in the first quarter because of technical issues.  Not so much.

We do it because we enjoy it (and my wife doesn't have to move to Shreveport so I can do this as a career).  We appreciate the love.

Go 'dawgs.

Can you tell us how many listeners you had.  You might be able to overcharge the Huron Consulting Group if you had a big audience. ;)

The Shoes, Wild Thing, are a bronzed pair of old time hightop cleats.  Heavy as well, I'd add.
Challenged for over 60 years between the Tigers and Poets.  Not sure why they became the 'trophy' from the annual matchup but they, legend has it, belonged to a Whittier player drafted in the NFL in the early 40's.
Football is just the warm up.  Oxy is a rugby school anyway.

So I beleive I'm officially allowed to post since I'm now finished with my career, unless the poets recieved an at large bid I don't know about??... OxyBob you seem to be reaching somewhat of a celebrity status because I was informed after we spoke  "that was oxybob" haha...
Good luck to Redlands in representing the SCIAC... Given how my body felt after that game (not to mention my pride) I'm sure you're coming home with the W...good season

Whittier College has taught me how to spell "believe" btw.....covering my bases.

Congrats on a great year Scurlock. It sure was fun watching your team and yourself trying to battle it out with the big boys for the past 4 years. Best of luck in your life post-whitter.

Btw, Oxybob and tooth can probabily add some insight to the legend of the shoes, i am sure both of them were there when the "owner of the shoes" played at Oxy and then left to attend and play for whitter. :D

Mr. Scurlock- Thanks for giving SCIAC some great moments during your career. When you single handedly defeated Redlands a year ago in OT, I realized then what a dangerous and talented QB you were. I happened to know a couple of the Redlands linebackers in that game that were very frustrated in the fact that they couldn't catch you, and when they did, you simply completed a passed downfield.

Great game against the Tigers, it sounds like you did the same thing against them. What a way to go out. You and the entire Whittier team kept your head up and took care of business and did it with class. I bet it had alot to do with your leadership.

Thanks for the +karma for Redlands against St. John's. Redlands will show up with the physical game that they have been known for this year and bring back the "W".

Best of luck to you and am glad you are on the board.
