A radio feed at least, anything to keep me distracted in the office on Saturday...... is it too much to ask?

On the upside, the mini TV in my cube will allow me to watch the Stagg Bowl

The Wilcox family credo..."if you can't use your hands, it's not a sport."

You know . . . when you lay one right down the middle there . . . it is merely out of my immense respect for DAW and LR that I don't whack that one out of the park.

Oohh . . . unintentional double entendre.

The possibilities are endless . . .  ;) ;D

We had an offspring at Santa Clara, and I know they used to have football a long time ago, but when she went there they had only that Communist sport in the fall ... The homecoming soccer game? I don't remember if they even had homecoming.

That must be quite an exciting reunion when former Santa Clara soccer players reminisce about their playing days:

Player 1: "Great to see you! We haven't spoken since that 0-0 tie against Pepperdine!"
Player 2: "I know, wasn't that a great game? Almost as good as the 0-0 tie against Gonzaga."
Player 1: "Nothing will top our winning streak when we won 1-0 against USD, 1-0 against Portland, and 1-0 against St. Mary's. Too bad we had to go and ruin it with that 1-1 tie against USF."
Player 2: "Well, we still talk about the time we ran up the score on Loyola and monkey-stomped them 2-0."
Player 1: "LMU is still upset about that. They were so mad about that game that when they played San Jose State they went all out, tied 0-0 in regulation, and then made all 5 of their penalty kicks in the shoot out."
Player 2: "Wow, I wish I could have been there to see that, but I already had tickets to the World Championships of Watching Paint Dry. Semi-Gloss beat the brains out of Satin."
Player 1: "Lucky you. Well, we better get over for the start of the homecoming game. We wouldn't want to miss any of the 90 minutes of nothing at all happening."

Bobcat, I like the way you express yourself. It's pithy yet degenerate.

I'll take the bet that the Johnnies dont drop 40 right now......... ;D

Hamms beer?   Hell, we didnt even drink that racoon pi$$ when I lived in Pittsburgh, Iron City, brewed from the scungy water of the Ohio River was even better. ;)

Too bad the Johnnies will have a two game losing streak going after this weekend. :D ;)  Listen to RFB....He speaketh the truth!

The Johnnies are playoff ready today and have been so for 50 years.  They are coached precisely for the post season so to discount the J's putting up 40 points would be an extreme oversight.  The Johnnie football team becomes a completely different animal when the NCAAs roll around and in particular playing in Collegeville is the worst thing that could have happended to Redlands.

St. John's University seldom ever loses two games in a row.  How tough is the MIAC?  As much as I hate Bethel there is only one conference with two teams represented in the top 10.  In addition to that the MIAC has three teams in the top 25 according the the most recent D3 poll.  The WIAC on the other hand only has two in the top 25.

The MIAC is one tough conference and St. John's coming off a season ending loss will be in one surly mood.  Add that all up together and it'll be a long bus ride back to Minneapolis and one ugly flight back to CA.

It all starts in Collegeville on Saturday. SJU owns the Central bracket.   8)

Is that Daffy Duck in the audiance?

Seriously, I am very excited for Saturday.  This is a very stong and physical Dawg team that will play pressure defense and they have a very balanced attack on offense.

redlandsfan

DustySJU fires me up!  I respect St. Johns, but I hope Redlands comes out swinging!!!!  I am looking for the Johnnies to get punched right in the mouth!!!  I expect the boys from Redlands to represent the SCIAC and the community of Redlands well this Saturday....turn it into a street fight!!!!  The more physcial team will win this game!!!

That team will be Redlands!  Its Tuesday night...by tradition the boys are practicing right now....what is St. Johns doing at the very moment to prepare for the game????

Only 5 days to go!!!!!  Can't wait to meet some of the St. Johns fans!
