Congrats to Redlands on a great season and a noble effort in Collegeville. Good luck to all of the seniors in the real world!

St. Johns sounds like a strong football team, nothing but respect for them and coach G. Good luck to them the rest of the way, hopefully UR can say that they lost to the eventual National Champ.

I look forward to next season in the SCIAC, hopefully we have another year with a wide open race...

No a better question is how could I forget about Jim's... the first time I saw that DUI I thought I was going to go in to cardiac arrest from the sweet smell of that pastrami and carne :o.

Good effort by the Redlands boys.  It's too bad about those late second quarter touchdowns by the Johnnies because it was looking like it was going to be a much closer game   :-[.
Hail to the Orange!!!

Congratulations to Redlands on your season, and for representing the west coast in the playoffs.

RFB,
Don't let GHC rag on you. Redlands record against the Johnnies isn't as bad as Linfields.
The Bulldogs did well. Without the bomb towards  the end of the 1st half it was shaping up to be a drag out war just like 5 years ago.
If you look back at our post patterns, you will see we were damn worried.  8)

I appreciate the post. Redlands needed to play a perfect game to beat St. John's. I wasn't worried about Redlands defense because they have been solid all year. The offense while having a very good year was turnover prone at times. Redlands has a lot of returners especially on offense. I predict they will be back. Good luck the rest of the way.

Selway must be a gutty guy to play the first half with a separated shoulder.  He seemed to be "on" with his passing and game management.

Good game, Red.  I'm hoping to come down to take in a SCIAC game sometime.  Maybe if the Johnnies have to come out your way next year.

Nice game Redlands. It definitely wasn't as big a blowout as the score indicated. Both your QBs were impressive. In fact, I didn't even realize the backup was in for a few series as he really moved the offense nicely. The defense looked solid, too—picking off Kofoed twice and our RB once (terrible call by the OC, btw) sure gave me fits. All in all, a hard fought game that ended up a little lopsided due to a 3-minute flurry by the red.

It was nice to meet all the Redlands fans at the 'festivities. Those I had a chance to talk to were extremely enthusiastic and really seemed to be enjoying themselves. A few were more than a little under dressed, but that's to be expected ;) I had a nice time explaining John G's unusual coaching philosophy to one mom who kept shaking her head in disbelief. 'Twas a good time.

Good game again, all. I'll be more than happy to host you again next season.
Nice day, huh?

Hmmmmmmmmmm, does not sound like the stomping many people were predicting.

Um, yeah, about that...

It was a shame that Redlands' QB's shoulder wasn't up to the task and the defensive end had a broken foot--with those two healthy this game very well could have gone the other way.

It was a pleasure meeting all the Redlands fans who made the trip out.  I hope you enjoyed the stay.  It was especially nice to see Gavril Gabriel was OK after an injury scare--I know I talked to his folks before the game.

Best of the luck to the Bulldogs next year--there's certainly no shame in ending your season in Collegeville.  Always room on the Johnnies' bandwagon as they try to bring the championship back to the West!

TC/Dusty...check your messages I just wrote you.

What a day/night yesterday...I got in at 3am this morning...not fun.

Anyway..congrats to the Johnnies...what a great place to play.  I have never seen a Redlands team fall apart like they did yesterday and for the first 27 minutes I thought we were in for a war.

Good luck to St. Johns next week and beyond, and congrats to the Bulldogs on a great season...the dogs are young and have a lot of starters returning next year....maybe they will be back to St. Johns!

Johnnie Red

Congrats to the Redlands on a great season. Thank you to all your fans who stopped by the Stiftungsfestivities yesterday before the game. It was an honor to have you at the tailgate and in Collegeville. Class team, class fans. :)

Sorry.
The best player from the SCIAC is still alive in the playoffs at least. He had a very eventful game today beating Capital.

Yesterday it was soccer talk, today it's another installment of Where Not to Vacation in California. If this is what you talk about during football season, how depressing does it get here in the offseason?

I guess we'll find out in about 48 hours.

It's like a ghost town in here.  Where did everyone go?
