the thing to remember at christmas time is Myron Cope's annual Christmas song.  "Bernie Kosar, hit him with a crow bar, fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la"

If you want to promote division 3 sports, do a google search for pontiac game changing performance and vote for the only d3 play that will likely be seen there for a long time.  We only have a few days left and Appalachain State is currently in the lead.

A vote for Trinity is a vote for d3football.

Note: NOT STARTING A RUMOR.

However, after a quick read of the NCAC board, some 'Bash fans / alums have placed Mr. Hammer on their list of desired coaches.
Any word from the Poet camp in terms of off-season stuff to put a stop to this before it becomes a real rumor.
I would think that Hammer is at Whittier for the long-term, esp after pulling the upset of Oxy to end the year. I'd like to think of him as a man of character, rather than a Saban / Petrino-esque guy.

i know nothing..but will find out. I would think Coach Hammer will be here to complete the "turnaround" of Poet Football. He seems like a guy that would finish what he started.

He is building something special in Whittier.

You're fooling yourselves if you think he wouldn't be interested in coaching his alma mater if they were truly interested in him taking the reins.

I have no idea if they want him to apply for the job or not, but this is a Top 25 team more often than not and Wabash appears to be a special kind of place for its alumni. Just read the NCAC board for a couple days.

There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

wally_wabash

I think about 76% of all coaches/coordinators at every level (with a Wabash connection or not) have been discussed as possible replacements for the outgoing Chris Creighton.  I wouldn't get too worked up about any rumors until the swath of names being tossed around gets narrowed down to just a few.

Oh, the names dwindle down, to a precious few............. :P
