For some reason, I have a good feeling about this season. Can't quite put my finger on it. But, for some reason I really think good things can and will happen.

don't we all feel that way every year? :)
Not about the Stags.

Cute... FtP was making a general reference. At least you have more tact than a UoR fan.

I know I get frustrated from time to time, but that is just because I expect and want the best. Hopefully, the guys are working hard this summer and are ready to hit the field running in August. With any luck, I can get an update on the summer.
I miss the game. I don't miss double sessions.. but I miss the ice bath after practice, and yes even practice itself.

Pat, could you please move this post to the humor section. It's in the wrong forum.

OK, good, Waldo found the typo in Browneagle's post.

Meanwhile, here's some SCIAC recruiting news from the St. Helena Star:

Yeakey looks to end high school grid career on high note

St. Helena High graduate Chris Yeakey's athletic career saw its share of twists and turns.

Yeakey hopes his last go-around representing the Saints ends on a winning note Saturday. He is St. Helena's lone representative for the West squad in the 36th Annual East-West Charity All-Star Football Classic, which takes place at Memorial Stadium in Napa.
...

Yeakey will attend the University of Redlands, where he is hopeful of playing either linebacker or safety. Yeakey joined the West squad after returning to town from Athletes Performance, a football camp in Carson, Ca.
...

Yeakey enjoyed a solid career as a Saint both in football and basketball.

He was All-League and All-County in both his junior and senior years of football.

As a senior, Yeakey was standout two-way player for the Saints; he posted 100 carries for 668 yards and seven TDs. He also added 18 receptions for 239 yards and three TDs.

Yeakey transitioned well from tight end to running back in Game 3 against Kelseyville last fall.

Defensively, he had 133 total tackles to lead the team.

Yeakey recorded 117 tackles, five sacks one interception and two fumble recoveries as a junior. As a receiver on offense, he caught 11 passes for 204 yards and five touchdowns.

I'm getting old. I played in the 19th East-West All-Star Classic for the East. St. Helena was in my high school league and although they played tough they were a bottom feeder program. Kind of like CMS in the SCIAC.

Sorry BE, just having some fun.  I'm sure OB will now research pull up all my typos and grammatical errors, and there are many of them.  Take it away OB....... ::)

OB,
Coming from St. Helena if not good at football or baseball at the D3 level he should be more than qualified for wine and spa recommendations.  ;D

There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

Its ok... hang on to Redlands football... we all understand it is all you have going for you in life...

I'm very secure in the money I make and my Redlands education was just a base foundation to get me where I am today. If you think your CMS education will take care of you the rest of your work life you're soley mistaken. The smartest, most successful person I have ever worked with has no college education. He makes more money than I could ever dream of. I used to be you, working for the man like a slave. I woke up one day and decided to have a life outside of that grind. The money isn't quite the same but my life is 100 times better then when I was making six figures plus. You'll figure it out one day.

it is almost time kids..and I'm pumped!  LR is sporting 230 (210 at this time last year) and working his ass off in the weight room.

Can't wait for season!

ECS......If you think your college degree alone is going to make you successful in life, you are sadly mistaken.  It is what you do after you actually enter the real world that counts.  The name of the school you graduated from may open certain doors for you but, if you do not have the drive or initiative to make the most of it, you are out.

Individual drive and effort weigh much more in an employers view than the name on one's diploma.

Just a word of advise from an old fart.

And, RFB has a beautiful family and a career he is happy in.  What more can one ask for?  That is worth much more than any six figure job.

FTP........It sounds like your son has all of the above.  Good luck to him this upcoming season.

thanks dawg..If he does have it, he didn't get it from the old man.

Good to see LR working hard. Should be interesting in Poet country this year. I think it will be a make it or break it year for Coach Hammer. If he has a breakthrough year he will see the potential and will hopefully decide to stay and build Whittier into a solid program. If the program struggles I could see him looking for other opportunities and the revolving coaching door at Whittier will continue.
