The selections have no credibility if LR isn't on the list.

Besides, his mom told me he single handedly beat Oxy last year. ;)

Good luck to LR this year, if the Poets play at CLU, I would love to meet Ricky and Lucy.

damn right snoop. :)

thanks

we charge a 1000.00 fee for personal appearances
The $1,000 will go for a good cause, LR's tuition and/or books. ::)

BTW - Someone who starts as a freshman and works as hard as LR does, is well on his way to all-SCIAC.  Good luck! :)

thanks...he really loves football. I saw that Whittier had their 2008 preview up and they list LR as a sophmore who will "compete for playing time".

He says he is ready "to compete" ;)

Looks like we have a nice QB competition as well with D2 transfer and another JC transfer.

If we hope to compete this year, we will need a QB to step up. Our reciever core is outstanding.
The defense will be improved as well.

can't wait

Oh for cryin' out loud, that was two years ago . . . let it go already.

Oxy takes it all this year . . . this assertion is based on my ancient association with the program and utterly biased and fantasy based opinion, designed to encourage smack talk about 2008 . . .

New pic of Rush Gym remodel on the front page of the Oxy athletics website.

James Hawkins has been named Oxy's new head baseball coach . . . Hawkins comes from, among other places, UoR.

Good luck the Bulldogs in seeking a Pool C playoff spot . . .

Best to LR in his academic pursuits . . . hope he enjoys the Shoes, cuz he won't see them again after this year.

Cal who?  Scandi, you out there? Tear yourself away from the Cowboys and come back . . .

Stags, Hens and Leopards . . . . oh my!

This drive by has been brought to you by . . .

Old Fart Aftershave . . . just like Old Spice . . . only with beans . . .

Cowboys...Did you just infer that I give a rats a$$ about the Cowboys? :D

Like all good Scandihoovians, I suffer year in and year out with the Vikings.  I did spend a lot of time hanging around the Cowboy training camp as a kid.  Doesn't get much more fun than a real live NFL training camp down the street.  Lots of class guys on those teams, and plenty of characters as well.  Five minutes within earshot of Hollywood Henderson was quite an education for a 10 year old. Lots of thoughts going through my mind like, "that lady must be a really big fan, she's wearing really high heels to get a better view of practice...  I wonder why her shorts are so tight?" :o

Glad to hear about the Rush gym overhaul and the Whittier remodel as well.  I am fired up for the start of the season, just don't have much to say about it, yet.

EastCoastStag

What do we have now? 3 weeks until everyone starts reporting? Going to be very exciting.

I won't go so far as to say this is a make or break year for Hammer. The real make or break year will be in 2 years. His first class will be through. It will be all his players. And, he will have built off of this massive recruiting class and the return of the Shoes.

On a CMC note, there are more players than there are lockers, hopefully another good sign of things to come.
(any of you reading out there at CMC, email me w/ info)

Yikes... Now on the tread mill, taking fish oil by the gallons, Vitamins a-z by the hands full in hopes of at least being the water boy for this squad. But wait a look in the mirror and a quick refresher glance at the drivers license reminds me that there is no shot in hell. Back to the lounge chair, cold beer and the NFL network for spring training news. Ponce De Leon you had high hopes buddy.  ;D
Hope all is well with you SCIAC folks.

Gee ECS, but for the USC  cheer outfit, I would have thought she was the Stagg starting middle linebacker.

Gray Fox

They need to move one of those cheerleaders to left tackle. ;)

Snoop, I wish we had girls like that at CMC.... IF something of Song Girl caliber went to CMC, she would be a) be sunbathing on Green Beach by the team's ice-filled kiddie pools instead of playing ILB, and b) fending off about 500 males (and a few Scrippsies as well, hopefully the hot and freaky ones instead of the "softball" types).
I must say, I think Ashton would be a bit insulted to have someone calling him a white chick.
At least starting at CMS beats holding a clipboard at everyone but the Top 10........

Now as for Oxy as the most liberal student body, I really find that hard to believe. One of, yes. Middlebury, Pitzer, Pomona, Scripps, Occidental, Carleton, Oberlin, Denison, etc. all really do fight for the honor.

snoop dawg

ECS, somehow it just seems that extremely intelligent, (like CMS or PP) intelligent, and drop dead beautiful just don't exist enough.  Give me San Diego St. any day. ;)

EastCoastStag

After being in Hollywood for the weekend, I will take brains over beauty.

Personally, I'll take USD, they have that whole secretly naughty catholic school girl complex.

ECS...this should make your day.......from a guy on the MIAC board

Every year Princeton Review releases a set of rankings that colleges trumpet ("One of the Top Schools in the Country!") or down play ("Rankings, schmankings"). Here is a quick look at which Division III schools cracked the lists related to sports. I wouldn't take them too seriously after seeing who made the list of places where intercollegiate sports is supposedly unpopular. But they might help people pass the time through a slow offseason.

Intercollegiate sports unpopular or nonexistent
1. Eugene Lang College (NY)
2. St. John's (MN): Don't look at me! It's not my list.
14. University of Chicago
15. NYU
16. SUNY-Purchase
17. Harvey Mudd College (part of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps athletics)
20. Emerson College
