We SCIAC posters have a long history of identifying impostors

Someone should ask CalSon if he has a daughter at Azusa Pacific who's a cheerleader and is also the childhood friend of one of APU's three freshman quarterbacks.

In that case, let me be the one to do so.... Hey Newbie(Calson) { Sarcasim: Does your daughter cheerlead at APU /}  :D. (We're just poking fun at you by the way.. Believe me it happens to all the newbies who come through here...
But really though, is your son one of the four QB's at APU.  8)

By the way, for those of you attending the Menlo-v.s. Whitter game, I'll keep you guys updated on attending the game. (Have to find a way to convence the girlfriend if she wants to join). Sure would be awesome if I could catch up with you guys and then make my way to AT&T park. Thanks ECS et al for the updates  last week. Definately will be trying out some of these spots you guys mentioned. Any other spots please do add some insights.

Interesting disucssion on this board and the poster does seem to be one with an axe to grind on behalf of APU.  But I do want to clarify one thing:

Scandihoovian said: "If APU wants to play the local D3s so badly, it could go D3 in football and maintain its GSAC membership in other sports."

Unfortunately, no.  Whereas Menlo and some other schools can be dual memebers (DIII and NAIA) due to a grandfather clause, any schools looking to join DIII now have to all-or-nothing.

B64 - You can leave the girlfriend at the Ferry Building for Farmers Market and she can then make her way to Union Square for shopping. This way you can attend the game........ just a thought.....
hahaha

Thanks for the correction, Steve.  I had forgotten the change to "all or nothing."

RFB, do I detect a little tongue in cheek? ;)  Menlo has a great setting for football (gotta love the trees - and all without anybody camping in them), but, at least the last time I was there (which has been a while) the facilities made Cal Lu's seem expansive...

Let's say they leave a lot to be desired.  But the tailgating is top-notch if you like small cramped parking lots and northern californians  :-\.
Go TIGERS!!!

Tough days for Tiger Football.

I really enjoyed the 1 mile walk from the locker rooms to the field when we played there back in the day... :D

I went to Menlo last season and I don't know if I'll ever want to go back.  Hands down the worst college football "facility" I've seen.

It's not the coaches or players fault and it's not like Menlo could buy some land next door because the college is smack dab in one of the most expensive real estate markets in the country but it's the pits.  Just add the insult that you had to pay for parking!  ha!  I don't even remember paying for parking at the Stagg Bowl.

I know for a fact that visiting coaches hate the place and THIS IS THE MAIN REASON WHY.

I almost broke my ankle on the opening kickoff my sophmore year. Nothing like a big golpher hole on the playing field.

Man, you'd think Menlo would have better results with such advantages....you've got the opposing coaches cooking up there in the sun and/or having to lower the "box" to run to the can AND gopher holes....perhaps they need to invest in some gopher trainers that can teach the gophers take out opposing players for them....  ;D
Go Cats!
