Regarding the OSC vs USC game last night, you might say the Beavers tested the Trojans, and USC failed the "Quizz" (Rogers).  (Just a semi-humorous pun!)

For those of you that remember their history, Linfield was well represented!  Head coach Mike Riley, asst. coach Jay Locey, and Offensive Coordinator Danny Langsdorf are all former Wildcat coaches, and Danny was a Wildcat quarterback, as well as being the son of former LC coach Langsorf, who now scouts for NFL teams.  All in all, quite a show last night.

I commented on the uniforms last year when they broke them out. While not my personal favorites, they did look pretty cool when I saw them up close last week.

I won't get excited until they come back to the all maroon at home uniforms. While Selway breaking his foot is the hot rumor, I'll wait for an official announcement from the coaching staff.

I just got back from the Menlo - Whittier game. Thew Oaks get their first win 38 - 20. Menlo scored on their first possesion. Then the Poets scored on their first play. The Oaks blocked the PAT and returned it for 2. Then the Oaks scored  and the Poets scored. It seemed like it was going to be a who ever had the ball last would win. The defenses finally settled in and it turned into a good game. I'll be back for the Cats game. Gotta get my pictures set up.
