Saturdays game betwen Oxy and CLU  should be a good one.  I think I will have to pop over and watch it and say hi.  Can't wait.

you'll probably be alone, becuase the matchup everyone has been waiting for is this saturday as the Mighty Poets take on LaVerne.

Call me crazy here but could we have a similar situation as last year?
Cal Lu beats Oxy but drops one to Redlands?  That would put everyone tied (assuming Oxy can beat Whittier this year ;D) and cause the same mess as last year.  Any thoughts?

*I do realize this is a little pre-mature talk but you never know...

Cal Lu would go to the playoffs due to the SCIAC using the Rose Bowl rule.

I realize that, but was wondering what everyone thought...Can Cal Lu beat Oxy again?  Can they beat Redlands?  The only team they lost to is having a pretty darn good year.

Can Cal Lu beat Oxy this year? Of course they can.
Will they eventuall beat the Tigers this saturday, I'm affraid not.
Why??? Well, this is yet another one of those important games that I am sure has been circled on Oxy's calendar since last year. IMHO, i think every out going Tiger Senior will be wanting to get that lost last year out of their memories and make it up by beating Cal Lu at Mt.Clef this year. Mark my word, this should be a really fun game and one that will not take Oxy 3/4 quaters to get going. Im sure with the type of weather we are experiencing, practice may just be moved up a bit earlier to get the Men ready for a warm saturday afternoon.

Hope to catch the Kingsmen faithful out there.

The game between Oxy/Cal Lu should be a very good battle. I give the edge to Oxy based on their win over Redlands. The key for Cal Lu is can they slow down Oxy's ground game.

I think Cal Lu has a very good chance of winning this game if they can get their offense working.  The "D" from Cal Lu has been lights out this year but the "O" has been just ok.  The best offensive weapon they have right now is their kicker ::)

I think Cal Lu wins this game, but not by much.  I honestly expect a 17-13 kind of game, or something very similar.

this east coast d3 transplant has this game circled on his calendar.  it will definitely be more interesting than USC-UDub.

went to CLU-Redlands last year and was impressed by the quality of play, stadium, atmosphere etc.

looking forward to seeing oxy for the first time as well.

good luck to both teams.

You will be in for a treat T.G.P. Like the current state of our stock market and economy, this game will have plently of shares of ups, downs, scares and of course a thrilling end until that final buzzer rings at the end of the game. In the end, we will all hear, maybe even witness how Oxy took care of business starting since sunday and the way through the time they get back in the visiting locker room at the end of their victory.

But other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?

Browneagle64

Tooth, you are right. Sorry about that one. However, saturdays game at Mt.Clef should give us smiles in the end. GOOO Tigers.

To my knowledge, tailgating is allowed at CLU.

OxyBob

thx!  k+

this may motivate some of my less-savvy (D3 wise) friends and co-workers to tag along to the game.
