  Rain, thunder, and wind in Thousands Oaks this morning.  Looks to be a muddy game at Cal Lu today.  Does that favor Oxy or the Kingsmen?

Doesn't Oxy usually play on turf?  I'd say it favors the home team, all other factors being equal.  (Not saying that they are.)

Given that the game is in California, both teams will be perplexed at this strange substance falling from the sky . . . advantage to the team that has more rugby players on the pitch.

I took in the game today at CLU.  It rained lightly on and off until the end of the game.  It was like something out of a movie.  CLU drove down to about the Oxy 20 or so and with 5 seconds left attempted a FG.  As they came out of the time out they called, the sky opened and it was pouring rain.  The kicker missed the FG and suddenly, it stopped raining.  I didn't know OB had such pull.

TGP also made it to the game and enjoyed meeting scandihoovian (sp?), Oxy Bob and the DOC.

Great football game - I had to "listen" to the final minutes b/c the kids had enough, but I was behind the grandstand over on the grass by the swingset (hey, being a dad you have to be creative sometimes).

Caught the final few plays from the car b/f and during the rain dumping down.  The ending was unbelievable.  Wouldn't be surprised if it got a mention in LA Times tomorrow.

Great win for Oxy - crusher for CLU.
