yeah...if the NWC and SCIAC just merged then the NCAA could just take one conference champ and ship them off to Wisconsin or wherever in the playoffs.....even if they are the #1 team in their bracket

That is just the NCAA's way of helping out our fly over country out here in the midwest.  Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa all the same.

Oxy could fill a date with a UCLA game. Keeps the travel expenses down (jab at the NCAA intended) After the 08 season the Bruins had I'd bet the line would have Oxy giving 9 1/2. Good luck and health this weekend Oxy. The Stealths will be routing for you.

A cheer heard Saturday at Oxy, where the Tigers wrapped up their third unbeaten regular season in four years with a homecoming rout of Whittier: "We've got Barack/You've got Dick/Oxy, Oxy, Oxy/Block that kick!" . . .

The references, of course, were to Obama and former President Richard M. Nixon, Whittier College Class of 1934. . . .
