So what is Occidental's strategy going to be to get a home game next time they have an undefeated season? Is it drop Colorado College and pick up LINFIELD or a WIAC foe?

Easy, boys, there's plenty of crap kicking to go around.

Great season by the Tigers that unfortunately ended early.  Good work by the WU broadcasting crew seeing as I couldn't make it up to the great white north for the game.  Sounded like the Tigers were in it to win the entire game and didn't show signs of backing off.  I think that speaks volumes of the coaching staff and the players that they have coming up.  The future looks bright in Tiger Town, but we'll have to wait until next year.   :-\

I'd rather us pick up WU or Whitworth seeing as linfield hasn't won the conference in a few years...  :o  I don't know what the Tigers 2009 schedule looks like just yet... if it hasn't already been decided we can only hope that we begin booking (at the very least) home/home's with the NWC.
Go TIGERS!!!

Tough days for Tiger Football.

Truth. That's fair. Since you can't beat any of them then it won't really matter. My logic dictates you pick on the one that hasn't won a conference title in three years.

I'd argue otherwise...(OXY never got closer than 2 TDS after halftime)

Just what they want you to think.  Just because they haven't won it in 3 years doesn't mean they aren't dangerous.  When a team has a history and tradition of kickin teams' a$$e$ they don't roll over easily, especially against non-conference foes.  Watching both Linfield and OXY play WU, I'd say Linfield gave WU much more of a scare... (31-28 halfway through the 3rd)

Put any of the top 2 NWC teams up against the SCIAC and I think the majority of folks would place their bets on boys from the north.
Winning isn't everything, but wanting to win is...

Like when Redlands beat 2007 NWC Champ Whitworth 24-12 at the Pine Bowl. And like this year when Redlands thumped the defending NWC champs 38-7? C'mon, quit drinking the koolaid. You have stockholm syndrome from hanging out with the Linfield posters.

Awesome...you guys beat a third place (NWC) Whitworth team this year and jumped em early (first game) in 2007.  When's the last time you beat WU or Linfield...or OXY for that matter?  You guys have a history of getting smacked by WU, Linfield, and Whitworth.

Let's recap:
1999: Linfield 49 Redlands 0
2000:Lewis and Clark 21 Redlands 17
2002: Willamette 52 Redlands 28
2002: Linfield 59 Redlands 21
2003 Willamette 35 Redlands 15
2003: Linfield 49 Redlands 10
2003: Linfield 31 Redlands 23
2004: Whitworth 52 Redlands 49
2005: Whitworth 35 Redlands 21
2006:Whitworth 28 Redlands 3

You've won 4 out of 14 contests against the NWC since 1999, with one of the wins (and losses :o) to Lewis and Clark.  I guess 4 out of 14 aint bad...but the way you lost is alot more telling than the way you won.  So here's to you and your Bulldog squad!!!

Bob,

We had an excellent place kicker.  Not sure what we have next year.

BTW.....seeing Willamette break off 50 yard plus touchdowns does suck, doesn't it? ;)

wucatwu,  don't forget Linfield beat Redlands in our very first meeting down in the Runner in 1998.  :)

Do you guys share a brain or something?  That IS kind of scarey.  Your kicker does rock!

RFB

Redlands jumped them early? So a win doesn't count early in the season? By your logic I guess Redlands would have beat Whitworth by much more if they played later in the season.

You got it.....there was a course at Linfield that we all had to take.  They performed psychological experiments on us and the result is they can use all of us as one voice when "they" want.  The statement about the kicker graduatingwas just a test.  Expect something more sinister when "they" decide to exert the full power of this weapon!
