oops--11 and I posted at the same time.....must be a Psychic Linfield Connection

More like pre-wired Pavlovian conditioning.

You got it.....there was a course at Linfield that we all had to take.  They performed psychological experiments on us and the result is they can use all of us as one voice when "they" want.  The statement about the kicker graduatingwas just a test.  Expect something more sinister when "they" decide to exert the full power of this weapon!

Are you sure the class/test was not in NWC homerism?

No, they teach that one at Willamette (it was a Willamette guy who made the comment about the top 2 NWC taking anybody in the SCIAC).
Go Cats!

Speaking about Pavlovian, I feel now is the appropriate time to mention that I hear Redands has an excellent Dodgeball class.    ;) :D ;D

D O.C.

QuoteLinfield has an excellent kicking game.

Using my German enigma decipher I take that to mean that the NWC runner-up had trouble holding off the rush when using their remarkable school record holding kicker (please research your team's longest field goal ever). Pity, what a waste.
It appears OXY's powerful punter was meaningless as well.
IMHO the Tigers never were in a position to tie or win the game. The fourth quarter was rather like the Cheshire Cat. Who knew what was happening?
The inability to come away with points twice down in the WU end (ESPECIALLY after using up so much clock) and the interceptions allowed those cat-like thingies to do their thing.
Did I mention giving up the BIG plays much like LINFIELD did?

Redlands Football: dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodging Linfield since 2003.  :D

I did hear we tried to hook up with the Dawgs once again but I guess that a mid-level ASC team offered Maynard all he could eat ribs if they made the trip out to Texas and he couldn't say no.

Yep, Redlands is responsible for Linfields inability to get it done the last three years.

Nope...just probability and statistics.
Winning isn't everything, but wanting to win is...
Practice?  We talkin about practice???

Redlands jumped them early? So a win doesn't count early in the season? By your logic I guess Redlands would have beat Whitworth by much more if they played later in the season.

Oh no, you definitely get the win.  But one win against a good Whitworth team doesn't take away from the fact that you guys have been terrible against the NWC.  Way to dodge that point...

Never said that but I would like to trade our game with the Division II we play every year with a team we have a tradition of clam slamming.

Dodge what point? I choose to live in the now. Redlands is 2-0 over the NWC over the last two years.

The point that the NWC champ and runner up would likely be favored against any SCIAC team.  That's all I'm saying...

I didn't hear any Linfield fans complaining about that schedule in 2004/2005. As matter of fact is was all trash talk about how great Linfield was and that they could and would play and beat anybody. My, how that tune sure has changed.

Willamette I would agree with. Not the second place team. And Redlands with a healthy Dan Selway could trade punches with Willamette all day.

No, I actually was one Wildcat that saw typing/saying to dump WOU all the way back in 2004.  It was only a matter time before WOU started to take advantage of the DII status and as our defending national champion will tell you that there is a clear difference between the two divisions.  I have no shame in saying in it does no good to play WOU anymore...it didn't back in 04/05 either.

Keep dreaming about your Selway scenario...I would love to say the same thing about Boehme/Linfield too but that wasn't our reality this year so leave that argument at home.

I don't know.  WU is playing without their starting QB and RB now...
