Congrats to St. John Fisher in the win over Rowan.  Plane was late out of Rome of Friday and I missed connecting flight from London to Newark, NJ.  Had to spend Friday night in London.  Didn't get home until about 10 pm Saturday.

I'd recommend travel insurance to anyone now.  Saved our bacon when Alitalia refused to compensate us for being late.  FYI if you have a connecting flight overseas make sure it gets you to the connection at least four hours before the connection.  They're not like the US when it comes to owning up to mistakes.  In fact the desk jockey at Alitalia thought our predicament was funny.

What screwed us was having to go throught security in Rome and then again at Heathrow.  Don't usually have to do that in the States.

Anyhoo called travel insurance and they got a great rate at an airport hotel with a restaurant, and told us how to get transportation.  Told me to just save the receipts and send in the claim.  Have bought it for every major trip.  First time I had to use it.

Good luck to the Cardinals in Mount Union.  More later.  Got a ton of stuff to do right now....

Listened to the game on the net. Like Butch cassidy said to The Sundance Kid, "who are these guys"? You got-er done. Gunna play the big dog now.   To quote that great Mets philosopher Tug Mcgraw--"you gotta believe" There is not a doubt in my mind --your team can pull it off.

ROWAN TEXAN-  Just in case you're still reading and too embarrassed to post, here's a message just for you in a way you will understand

There's a new sheriff in town and his name is Paul Vosburgh and his SJF posse, so you had better keep your gang of punks out of town for a while, and IF you do return, you'd better bring a lot more than you brought SAT.

p.s  In the words of that great Bath native philosopher Tommy "Waterhead" Philipps- HA HA HA

ER1948 - How well stated.......I almost could hear old Tommy laughing, HA HA HA........

Wish I could travel to OHIO next week, but at least Will and his wife will be able to go.   Unless i can call in sick to myself somehow......

SJFC Cardinals - Good Luck.  You have earned where you are going, savor it, work hard this week, keep your vision focused, stay with the game plan, and see you in Salem the following week.

Hopefully you will be back for a game or 2 next year.  We are family, and family treats family like family........

Now about the trip to Salem.......get ready.......
