Theaprof, et al., Fisher fans are generally pretty nice people once you get to know them a bit.  But, I will give you this one warning as you prepare for their invasion, get your City Council to pass an emergency cowbell ban.  Trust me, your ears will thank you...

NCAA seems to have cracked down on the cowbells during the playoffs.  Fisher SID was seen walking around and informing fans that "artificial noisemakers" were against NCAA regulations.  Though from the Pep Band's knowledge those rules are only supposed to be in effect while either team is in their cadence.

Dear Ithaca Athletic Department:

In reviewing next fall's home football schedule it has occurred to me that a strict enforcement of NCAA rules would greatly benefit the fan experience.  Specifically, a strict cowbell ban would be great around mid October.

AU Pep Band got a 5 yard penalty against Hobart (I think) a couple years ago.  As such, we are cognisant of cutting off the instruments when players head to the line.

Everyone has their favorites, but I would much rather go to Poli's than to Texas Roadhouse.  How many in your party?  Poli's has two private rooms, but they are most likely reserved for holiday parties.  They can put tables together to accommodate larger groups, but you should call ahead, maybe tonight or tomorrow.

Again, it is not fancy.  The bar is pretty neat though, so be sure you check out the walls.  Lot's of memorabilia from Norte Dame and South Carolina and Lew Holtz, who sometimes visits, and stuff from MUC of course.

No I do not own the place or work there, but my wife and I eat there often enough that they have our drinks ready when we walk in the door.

Hmmm.  Dr. xGSC and I were trying to figure out who it was.  Prof_fan must have changed his email.  It used to be a nondescript one.  Figured he worked at the school.

Have no idea who RU_Fan is.  He knows too much Profs football history to be a current player's parent.
