The Chairman is back from his weekend in Chicago.  It was an eventful weekend to be sure but here are three quick highlights:

1) E8 Nation was almost forced to invoke its equivalent of the 25th Amendment as the Chairman's reign was nearly brought to a bloody end when the Bucs came back and tied the game.  Good safety tip, don't taunt Bears fans, in Chicago, when they already know you are cold.

2) The Chairman remembers why he chose to govern remotely from a location far south of the Empire State.

3) The Chairman and the Future First Lady of E8 Nation were having lunch at Chicago's famous Uno Pizzeria on Saterday.  The Chairman overhears two Mount fans talking about the Stagg Bowl at the next table.  As they were leaving their friends early, to go watch the game at ESPNZone, the Chairman may or may not have leaned in and said "Mount Union is ok, but they are no Ithaca."

Once you've been soiled by the LL, it's hard to escape the clutches of the 3rd person, isn't it? Admit it....speaking in 3p makes one feel like a prima donna pro athlete, and it feels good.

Mr. Chairman!  If I would have KNOWN it was the great Jose I was speaking to in PU's, I would have invited said Chairman and most attractive significant other over to ESPN Zone to share a beverage, and to share with you all that is the greatness of another Mount victory.

Not only was your response about IC hysterical but, it got me made fun of the rest of the afternoon.

I believe the refrain I kept hearing was: "Who randomly talks about D3 Football in a pizza place and then gets smacked down because their team isn't any good anymore?"

The Gators run to the National Title is giving her the upperhand in all football related arguments.

Jose - so I am sitting at a table at the ESPN Zone that has its own sound.  We are whooping it up all game.  People were completely puzzled what game we were even watching (about 50 screens there and basketball was on all the other ones), and some even came over to see what the excitement was about.  There were some Wisconsin people in there so they started cheering for Whitewater.  It was a fun day. 

D-III fans.......they're EVERYWHERE!
