I'm not necessarily sure Moss will be any better, to be honest.  But who knows.

I agree you never know- but get Moss in Belichick system, and give him a Tom Brady to throw him the football and I think he'll be back to doing what he did his first few years in Minnesota.

Either way, I fear the patriots next year.  They seem to be heads and shoulders above the rest as Super Bowl favorites already!!

it's all on moss now, if he acts like a jerk he won't have the excuse that his team sucks (and he'll probably get reamed in the locker room).   Honestly, I'll think he'll shut up, do his part, and be a solid contributer.

As a Pats fan, this is absoutly frickin amazing.  I cant understand all the people who think this is a bad move.  Moss is a guy who has made some mistakes, but Belichick knows how to handle people bottom line.  Its gonna be scary.

Moss will cooperate and produce, or he'll be shown the door.  And if he's shown the door out of New England, his career is over.  The Patriots very well could have won the Super Bowl last year with Reche Caldwell as their star receiver.  I think Moss will do just fine.  I couldn't be more excited.

Yea whats he ever done that is so bad anyway?  I mean he was upset last year that he was on a team that he didnt want to play for.  Its Oaklands fault for not getting rid of him sooner if he didnt want to be there.  Like the Pats and Branch.  See ya later, the pats arent gonna have a guy on their team that doesnt want to be there.  Thats why samuel has to get his act together.

RE: the Ithaca football schedule

Why isnt that press release on the website?

IC is one of the few schools left that refuse to release their schedule until all the contracts are signed.  Most schools used to do this but now fudge on it and just make changes when a schedule doesnt come out.

I didnt even know there were contracts.  What happens if one team breaks it?

It depends on the circumstances. Some have buyout clauses where you can pay X amount of money in exchange for not returning a game. I think if a conference schedule changed and that required breaking a contract, the school being wronged would usually let it go. A good citizen coach/school would try to make up for it in a future season if possible.

I remember Ithaca had a problem with a coach/team that basically told IC they wouldnt be comming to Ithaca one year.  From what I heard the coach was basically like "you can keep us on the schedule, but we arent showin up"

Yea that was great for the sox, especially seeing that guys really havent been hitting that well this year.  It will be interesting to see what happens to Torre now that this has happened. I heard he is in some hot water with the big guy.

I hear ya there.
He was over the barrel last year after losing in the playoffs, now the rumblings have started all over again!

thats the thing...sure he had the traffic incedent in Minnesota and pot, and some "throw me the damn ball" type things.  But he's never been the locker room cancer that some reporters have made him out to be.  He's quiet and he wants to be left alone.  That bothers a lot of reporters and they write bad things about him.  I'm not saying he's a saint or even a good teammate, but he's no where near as bad as he's been made out to be over the years.

the NY papers this morning have headlines of rumblings about Torre going to be fired.  I think that may be a bit extreme but something needs to happen b/c the boss aint happy.  Oh well - go Mets.
