I listened to the ESPNNews broadcast on ESPNNews Radio over the internet and want to express my appreciation for the plug for the Alfred Saxons and mention of AU's "pretty good win" on Saterday. As for the NCAA Tournament, you had it right, Pat. The NCAA got it wrong.

Last year at this time, AU (7-3) was tickled to be hosting an ECAC championship game as the E8's fourth place team (ironically hosting the E8 fifth place team). This year the Saxons (8-2) are equally pleased to host an ECAC contest but not without a little disappointment at being snubbed for the big dance.

I know our woodwinds need some work, but I thought our strong low brass and trumpets would have carried us.

Anyway, Goober, Aunt Bee, Opie and all the rest of the band here in Mayberry RFD appreciate the kind words spoken for Alfred on ESPN News. You are a class act and we appreciate all that D3Football.com has done and is doing for D3 football.

Pat, if you don't think you have an effect on people's lives, think about these stories:

1)Refsluv2toss me loses his cell phone this weekend. Claims he can't think straight since he was booted from board so he didn't realize his phone was gone, or where he lost it, until 30 minutes after the fact.

2)ICEdgeUcation gets arrested; blames it on the fact he can't release aggression towards C-State fans on this board.

I'm obviously joking but those things really did happen. I even have a pic of Edge in 'cuffs, sent to me by a friend.

Nevermind then, I heard he was and then my buddy Sean sent me a pic of him sitting handcuffed on track. The obvious assumption was that he had been arrested. Maybe the cops let him go. Nice of them.

Regarding the bracket seeding yes, I was a little surprised, but the bracket seeding really is indicative solely of the bracket's top seed, that is, they felt Linfield was the strongest 1 seed, Del Val the second, Wabash the third and Trinity (Texas) the fourth.
