You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

I don't know how I feel about my High Chairman having negative karma. Although, I suppose that's something like having a 40% approval rating...

For everyone that repeated ad naseum that Ithaca's dominance in the Empire 8 is dwindling (although i think it was more a BB board discussion):

QuoteITHACA WINS SEVENTH STRAIGHT EMPIRE 8 COMMISSIONER'S CUP

Ithaca College has won the Empire 8 Commissioner's Cup for the 2006-07
year; the Bombers have won the all-sports award all seven years it has
been given.

Standings for the Commissioner's Cup are determined by schools'
standings in conference sports. Ithaca, which sponsors 21 of the
league's 22 sports, totaled 259.5 points out of a possible 315 – good
for a percentage of .824.

The Bombers won nine Empire 8 titles last year, claiming the baseball,
women's basketball, women's cross country, softball, women's swimming &
diving, men's tennis and women's tennis crowns outright and sharing the
field hockey and men's outdoor track & field championships. In addition,
Ithaca's men's lacrosse and women's soccer teams won the Empire 8
regular-season titles before falling in the conference championship
tournament; both received at-large bids to the NCAA playoffs, becoming
the first conference teams in their respective sports to reach the NCAA
championships without winning the league's automatic bid.

The Bomber men's cross country, men's lacrosse, men's indoor track &
field, women's indoor track & field and women's outdoor track & field
teams each posted runner-up showings at their conference championship
events. Ithaca earned third-place points in men's basketball, football,
women's lacrosse, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball.

On their way to winning all seven of the Commissioner's Cups, the
Bombers have won 75 of the 143 Empire 8 titles in the league's eight
years, more than the league's other seven schools combined. Ithaca has
won at least nine Empire 8 titles each of the past four years, including
2003-04 when the Bombers won 17 – the most league championships ever won
by any NCAA school in any year.

That's not putting your name in the pool as much as taking over.

I have been on hiatus.  Whats been up guys?

Sir Spiedie

Has/will  anyone peek in on their respective schools summer camps? Spiedie attended (as a parent) the Gator Kicking Camp in the Swamp last Friday. What a sight.  There must have been 200 kids or more. Balls flying through the air. In any event, Spiedie thinks these camps are great because1) they give the coaches a chance to eyeball the prospects 2) They can make a few bucks for the program and 3) The kids enjoy them.
Any fond camp memories out there?

Went to Indiana Football Camp in the late 80's.  All I remember is 90 degree days with no A/C.  Had to bring your own Box Fan to camp.  Also, always rumors of a Football Camper getting a Cheerleading Camper pregnant.

I think the opportunity to work out prospective future recruits is the #1 reason for these camps.

TGP attended both the Holy Cross and Joe Namath camps back in the day.  Still blows TGP away when he sees Broadway Joe on TV b/c when TGP went to camp was a long time ago and Joe could barely walk.  Always had huge wraps around his knees.
Not mention he looked about 60 at the time (was probably mid-40s).

Sir Spiedie

Hopefully Joe has gotten a new set of bionic knees by now, and perhaps the now deposed Chairman has gatten a new bionic a$$, since his original one has been pretty much chewed off.  ;D

Knightstalker

Don't think Joe has new knees yet.  There have been pictures of him in the Beaver Falls paper walking with two canes.  I was out there visiting friends last fall and saw the paper.

DAMN....since when did they allow Smurfs to play football

Pep is led to believe that 5-10 would be the proper height for the 225-lb. center.
