"We could get a bunch of monkeys together and have 'em reenact the civil war."

"How would that help people?"

"Couldn't hurt. Uuunless the monkeys started hurting people. Which they almost certainly would."

Max, you think the movie's gonna be any good?  I sure hope so.  I'd hate for this to come out like when they made those 3 new Star Wars movies and they were all beyond godawful.

The Simpsons has sucked since 1999 + same writers that have been writing those shows are writing the movie = don't get your hopes up.

PS What did I lose karma for? Quoting the Simpsons or being a Bills fan?

well if anything you should gain points for being a bills fan...you need all the karma you can get and I lost 7 points in like a day

Hey Tags-
Were u thinking what i was thinking watching the open yesterday----Paddy----2 in the drink?

Wow
Glad he regrouped!

I found out yesterday that Fisher fans actually take pride in owning a Cow Bell.   After hearing this the game of kings quickly turned ugly for this Cardinal mother.  After not guessing the color of her card correctly she had to go make sweet sensual love to the practice target deer  in the yard.     ahhh good times.

BUT SERIOUSLY WTF WITH THESE COW BELLS!   your mascot is a Cardinal, use a freakin bird call or somthing!

Stupid cow bell.

I can honestly say that I have never watched more than 10 consecutive minutes of any Winter Olympics competition.

That probably isn't that surprising though since I did not see snow until I was a freshman at IC.

Why not?  We have a few weeks until there is actual football to discuss.

The best part about this debate is that both juvan and Grastorff have potential to become GREAT Bomber QB's.

Juvan:  started with the Angelico offense.  Had Felicetti as a mentor.  Then took over the reigns with a new OC.   And, this year has to have another new OC.   This kid with have had 3 OC's in a matter of 3 years.  So I think his career of learning a system has been and will continue to be difficult.

Grastorff:  May seriously be the "answer." Everyone that has seen a JV football game in Bomberland knows what I am talking about.  However, he could just be a "JV All Star."  But, I really think this kid is the real deal.

Ashkar:  well, he's Ashkar.

Blessing:  In Oneida he was a stud.  Apperantly the best QB in his region.  3 sport All Star.  Possibly better at Baseball than Football. however, I have never seen him play any sport.  All I know is he is 4-5 inches shorter than the others. So the verdict is out on him.  hopefully he is fast and an amazing option QB.

Camp is going to be interesting.  Grastorff should be on Varsity and the #2 QB.  Except with Ashkar still there Grastorff may have another JV season.  I really think Grastorff is going to need to come in and out do Juvan in every aspect of the position for any of the new coaches to think about telling Welch to pull Juvans starting spot.  I see us sticking with DJ for the first 2 games because of his experience.  When we play kings the flood gates will hopefully have been opened after the 1st quarter. Therefore we should get to see some Grastorff in the 3rd and 4th.   It is after this game that the Cow Bells enter Bomberland.   I really think the Sept 17-21st week of practice will be the most interesting of all.  If Grastorff comes away with 180 yards of passing in the Kings half, has no INTs, and really leads the team  the starting QB for us against SJF could possibly be up in the air.  Yet, DJ will most likely start.  But, if 2 INTs happen or fumble occurs for DJ, ENTER Sandman may come across the Butterfield loud speakers an #7 could be trotting onto the field.

Our jobs of Monday quarterback this year will be great.

This reminded me of one of my favorite Bomber Football memories from my four years at IC. I was working a JV game near the end of the season in my senior year.  Whomever the JV QB had been to that point in the season had been called up to the Varsity (I think because of Steenburg's move to LB) so the JV was down to its backup, which happened to be starting DE Sean Skinner.  Skinner played the entire game at QB while wearing number 97 and running QB dive and QB dive.

In that same game, IC drove down and scored on their opening possession.  We were just sitting on the sideline because the game was on the practice field (IC had a home game on Saturday and didn't want to tear up the turf inside the friendly confines).  After the TD the ref runs over to us and says "Hey, the score should be 8-0 not 6-0, that last play was a 2-pt conversion."  Apparently, IC had scored a TD on the previous play but no one, including Dan Elberty the JV Head Coach, knew about it because the refs made no signal.  So, IC went for 2 on their first possession thinking it was third and goal from the 2.

Next time the games come around, watch the U.S. women's curling team. Trust me, it's worth the time.
