Nice win for Alfred.  I'm a officially a believer that they can contend this year. :)

Incidentally, the East region is the South region's daddy.

Alfred - 14,  Thiel - 0,  Alfred causing turnovers.

who scored?

I hope Keeley has a good season, worked with him a couple times over the summer and he's a great kid!  Hope for the best for him this season!

You're right about Keeley. Top notch kid. I don't have his game stats....he had a few good throws dropped but played smart. Thiel defense was very good, tough against the run. AU scored on a 2nd-and-goal at the 10 on a Keeley pass to TE Matt Gibbons (alone in end zone), capitalizing on a fumble recovery inside the 10.

In third quarter, Keeley hit frosh WR Jared Manzer (Johnson City) on a slant pattern and Manzer spun to the outside and broke it (not sure how far...40+ yards I believe).

OF MAJOR CONCERN: On kickoff to open second half, Julio Fuentes (#20), sophomore starting TB from Olean, was seriously injured. Appeared to be neck injury so they did not move him. Was strapped down and taken on stretcher to hospital. Haven't heard any report as yet. He's in our prayers.

AU played tough D sans Brenton Brady, earning a shutout. Thiel's offensive strength is running the ball (Minton) but had to abandon that to try to play catch-up, thus AU had some INTs late in the game.

Great start for the Saxons!
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Hey everyone-

I'm new to the board but been reading it for a while. 2006 IC grad, been following the bombers since my (and felicetti's) freshman year.

I live in Rochester now and am headed to the courage bowl tonight to root heavily against Fisher. JoseQ gave me some aspects he wants me to scout, anybody else want any info?

If your living in Rochester why dont you just stay home and watch it! You can get blitzed at home or at a Bar while doing it!

Seriously though, I wouldnt be suprised if SJF were to lose tonight! UofR is always alot closer than it should be and with the addition of Foster to UofR might just be enough to put UofR over the top in this series.  He's a good coach and calls good plays for the most part, the key for SJF will be to take advantage of Fosters cockyness.  He out thinks himself at times and calls crazy tripple WR reverse passes at the worst times.  Foster will alone cause his players to turn it over at least once in a crucial moment of the game, SJF will have to take advantage of that and shove it in Fosters face....

How would IC fans feel if their OC and one of their greatest players in the schools history went to Cortland to be Cortlands OC and a position coach??

I'm a Bills fan... tomorrow is the day to stay home and get blitzed. Maybe then Losman will look like an option for the future.

I feel your pain, my fellow Bills fan.  All im asking for tomorrow is some sort of progress and keep the game somewhat close!!

Granted Juvan didn't have a great day stat wise, he still looked like an expierenced QB scrambling from the bengals from time to time, and having the presance to throw it away instead of trin to force something.  Even though his stats werent' to great, still impressed me,gettin better every week. GO BOMBERS! Hartwick next week lets get prepped for a stud at QB, who's got any info on em?

7-6 UofR over SJF at halftime....

SJF's D looks pretty good except for a corner that bit hard of a play action and got beat for a 40yd TD pass by UR's back up qb.  SJF picked off UR's starter 3 times (also picked him off 4 times last season) and he got yanked.

Saw some looks w/ Robby at WR w/ Reile in the backfield, they were pretty effective throwing to Robby in that formation.  However, SJF's in trouble big time at the QB position.  He's throwing all over the place and the WR's cant catch the ball to save their lives.  SJF had some success running the ball to start, but as soon as the passing game proved to be innefective they stacked the line and they've had trouble ever since.

SJF's starting qb didnt play the last series, dont know if it was an injury or what....

SJF could be in trouble!

Fisher's QB is not very good.
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

Saw this coming for a while.  He looked shaky last year for the last few games - didn't he get pulled for a while against RPI?, and not having Noah or Fitz to bail you out is hurting big time too.  Could be a mental thing - you know the kid can throw it.  His completion % was like 70% last year for most of the season...

The WR's are not helping him out at all....
