Damn!  '86 Field looks like the Rose Bowl compared to the Grassy Knoll of Union!

I would say picnic seating (lol, nice way to put it) for maybe 4,000?

Here's a picture of a wider swath of fans on the lawn:

Hope it's dry.

Regarding the bracket seeding yes, I was a little surprised, but the bracket seeding really is indicative solely of the bracket's top seed, that is, they felt Linfield was the strongest 1 seed, Del Val the second, Wabash the third and Trinity (Texas) the fourth.

and lets hope people wear deodorant too.......

Well, I will be taking the NYS Thruway up on Saturday morning, bright and early.  Ready for a Bomber W.

Hope to see a lot of the Bomber Faithful this Saturday, as we usually have a good turnout for playoff games.

GoBo15 will be there.

dawg, it sounds like Unions and Ithacas teams are very similar.

truebluefan05

I will be bringing a van full saturday... including a few players from springfield and utica and hartwick to help cheer on their fellow E8 team

So everyone was horrified to play st. john fisher in the 1st round, huh??

Union89 is shocked that two 2 loss teams got bids in the E8....classic matchup in Schenectady on Saturday though.  If Union has 2 or less turnovers, the Bombers have no chance...Union89 is not trying to stir the pot...that Dutchmen offense is straight nasty if Marotti makes good decisions.

Two or less turnovers, Union rolls relatively easily.....over two it will be a game....

Ithaca - Cortland game story and pictures are available at:

We'll have some additional pictures up soon.  I will post when they are ready.

union89,
The SJF boys were no easy ride.....Nobody, including Ic, Union or anybody with a brain really wanted em' firts round....Alfred had a GREAT game.......
Hopefully both teams play relatively mistake free games ......score should be interesting with the firepower both teams have...

Who has Union played besides bart that has had a strong offense at the skill positions....??

Still say this may be a do or die defensive day......

Don't know much about your league/conference..

If IC, SJF & Alfred are our 1-2-3...in whatever order anybody wants...who are the three comparable teams in the Liberty?

BOB,

Union, Hobart and RPI are just as good if not better than IC, SJF and Alfred....

In fact RPI's offense scares me this weekend!

BobNapoleone

upstate,
thanks for the opinion......playoffs are always intriguing when you play a somewhat unknown opponent...

Hopefully the "right" two E8 teams show up this weekend....good luck to Noah, Mark and the rest of the Cardinals....

wow...Bob, do you know ANYTHING about the LL?? "who besides Union has strong skill positions at offense"?? wow....crawl out from under your rock. RT predicts RPI hangs at least 35 on SJF this week (hopefully the D works out the kinks). Good luck trying to stop Branche, Bernardo, and Robertson

Does anyone know if we are able to purchase tickets at the gate at Union or do we need to purchase them ahead of time.  I would hate to make the commute up there and bam no tickets available.  Union89 perhaps you know the process.  Do they give the visiting team a certain amount of tickets to sell to their fans?

You can usually purchase tix the day of the game....not sure about NCAA though.

I'd also like to wish RPI luck in stopping Noah and the R & R Express....
