Yeah from what AU said it sounds pretty serious, hopefully he turns out to be ok.

Also does there appear to be a QB issue at SJF?  Suchyna has struggled a bit towards from the end of last season to the start of this season.  Their back up came in yesterday and went 8 for 8 w/ a TD in the second half.  He led them to scoring drives on like 4 of their 5 second half drives.  I know Suchyna gives em more of a deep passing threat, but he's been shaky at best w/ his accuracy recently.  Just something for people to chew on.

Heard this morning that Fuentes is facing surgery. Word I received (and this from an unverified unofficial source) is that a vertebra apparently is pinching the spinal cord, causing paralysis. He could not move his arms or legs. Will try to verify this information and report back this evening. In the meantime, your prayers are much appreciated.

Congrats to the ALF and Springfield representing the E8. Only if the Bills could close a game, western NY would be feelin good.

prayers go out to Julio

Report on Fuentes is that he is now "day-to-day." Had surgery Saturday night. Good sign as he had movement in his arms Sunday morning ....appreciate continued prayers for complete recovery.

Prayers to Julio!!!!   Missed the game Saturday.  Sounds like it was quite a hit though.  Probably every player's and parent's worst nightmare when it comes to football. Will be thinking of him.  Keep us updated AUPepBand please!

wow, great weekend of football.

Springfield beats union and misses 4 EP's... gulp.  Perhaps those weekends in Oct. should not be over looked for Bomber and Cardinal fans.

With wedding season plaguing the attendance of FDC alumni I myself have been hit.  The weekend of Oct. 28, Springfield, theicDubbz will be in syracuse for one of these events. After some explaining Lady Dubbz now knows football season is not a time for any of this non-sense.  rookie mistake.

ANYWAYS, onto the short and sweet summary.

things learned this weekend...

B- A- E- Z , can run from large lineman for long periods of time.

Buf. St. will not run a reverse on a first play of an opening drive the rest of the season.

Donovan is still good.

Juvan does scramble.

Hogan is still the quiet reciever who will do the little things to help us win.

Gordon can still return the ball.

good defensive test coming this saturday.

Go Bombers!

Dubbz,

Is there much of a kicker controversy or is that only in your and Rowdy's eyes?

Busy weekend around the league.

Nice win from Fisher, no one really has mentioned how much of a test U of R really was.  Sounds like a QB controversy is brewing but, the coaches should know how to handle that after so aptly dodging what could have been a much bigger RB controversy.

I am less worried about the Springfield option, which was good even when they sucked, than I am about how SC limited Union to 30 points.  Hopefully the E8 Playoff representative (IC's alias) gets that film.

Here is a thought that may stir up some debate, at least among the ICers:
1) Clearly, our "three headed monster" at RB is just two (Davis doesn't seem to be in anyone's plans).
2) More importantly, is it time to say that Baez is the best back in the class of '06.  Take away the 7 or 8 game stretch Donovan had two years ago and think who you want to get the ball in the clutch...I think I am going with Baez.

My prayers are also with the kid from Alfred.  Puts the game in perspective.

I thought there would be after watching the Cornell scrimmage but, its Kits job to lose.  He was solid all weekend and last.  Ferguson handles the kickoffs and places it, for the most part, deep inside their 5.  It will be interesting to see what happens when we get in a situation where we need a 40 yard field goal and are down 1,2, or 3 with minimal time in the game left.   Lets just hope that situation never arises.

Jose-
Good point on the Fisher win...

As stated earlier in the week- that game gave me the creep.
QB issue should work itself out.

SC Union game seems rather telling...

Whats up with that SC "D"?

Without delving into too much speculation along the lines of We beat them and they beat those guys over there, I wonder how King's shutout of Lebanon Valley plays into the relative strength of Fisher.  Also, Huntingdon went on and got a W against what someone on the blog claimed was a decent/good Sewanee club...

Looks good for IC and Fisher any way ya slice it.

2 weeks and counting.....

Wow, just saw the signature on my posts...looks like I should change it from 30 years of pounding the rock to 3.5 hours of getting pounded by Baltimore...we suck...

fisheralum91

Simms looked aweful...

Didnt get alot of help though...

Thats ok- the Bills should have had the game in hand on the 4th down call....

Woulda shoulda coulda
