Nice to hear we got some OL guys too.  Juvan needs all the time he can get to get those perfect passes off to the corners.  Ooooh I cant WAIT to see some long bombs into the endzone!  .. gives me chills just thinkin about it!  EHHHH BOMbers!

For the first 3 games I bet the longest pass you'll see is a 15-20 yd post pattern

Justin Brunell left a big hole at Center... I was just check'n our roster, his back-up as 5-10 (266), the other back up was 6-0'(290), yet 2 freshmen are 6-1  (245) and 6-3'(250)  ...

what do you go with: shorter and heavier?  taller and leaner?

ICemanJK

with a qb like Juvan who is pretty mobile wouldnt it make sense to go with taller and leaner so the blockers can get down field faster?
All hail the Booga

IceMan you're closing in on 100 posts!

With all of this talk about the best OL for Juvan, this would be my obligatory time to ponder whether it's a done deal that he's the starter...

Cubs/Cardinals this weekend!  The NL Central is ugly, but that doesn't mean it doesn't count!

go with whoever moves the best.  Andy Sachs wasn't a big guy and he was very good at center when I was there.  I think he started 3 years.  Go with the mobile guys with great footwork and skills.

The best was when Sachs anonymously posted on here that Andy Sachs should get more credit, not knowing his email address shows up in the profile..

Fisher still has that day its just called St Patty's day. I know a few teachers that gave more credit to students who show up on Pattys day.

What's everyone's take on  the E8 senior(s) this year who have a shot at going to the next level? Every year there's some hype about it (B. Brady from Alfred, Fehrenbach from SJF) and I'd like to see who's sayin what

Fortune from SJF could play some type of professional football.  He is an absolute beast (6'3 310 LBS) and has good footwork.

Fortune, from what i was told, spent alot of time out west training at a specialty training complex to get ready for this season...

I think it was in Jersey, probably something a lot of guys wish they had the opportunity to do

TheEnforcer

Freshman Joe started to flake out a bit at the end of the season, but he made a great media whore (in true FDC fashion) at Cortaca.   Get the guy to show up some more and we'll have a decent start on a younger generation.

As far as starting Juvan, I think it'd be foolish not to.  Lots of people (myself included) said last year that he's got talent, but he just needs to mature and come into his own a bit more.  You could see him progress as the season went on, but he still backslid a bit under pressure - of course, a telltale sign of a relatively inexperienced starting QB.  Regardless, I feel like we could have a very effective quarterback on our hands once he becomes comfortable in his role as a leader and a playmaker, and with the lessons he learned last year and the time he's had to reflect on them, he very well may have gotten to the point.

And since Downtown is suffering from a lack of rowdy, I'll make up for it.

Cortland sucks donkey balls.

CortACA...and yes.

Ithaca was in the top group saleswise the first couple of years. Looks like we have seven sales so far from Bomber fans. Still pretty good.

Chris Sharpe sure didn't have any lean blockers on his line, if the kid's got skill it wont make that great of a difference what his blockers look like

It's been awhile but it's that time of year again...can someone fill me in on the whereabouts of IC's former def. coordinator Mark Raymond so I don't have to read through thousands of posts?

Looks like a young coaching staff this year but the D will be in good hands with Ross....he's nuts
