Apparently, my grandmother is now in charge of proper fan etiquette at sporting events.

Maybe the home fans and the visiting fans should just have thicker skin and not take everything said by a fan so seriously.

there is a certain thing as respect and if your sitting on the home side show it...your sitting on the home side behind the home players and next to the home fans

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Plenty of room at Butterfield... and a beautiful view of the lake for the losers (visitors) side.

So it is ok to be disrespectful so long as you are sitting across from the home players?  That is crap.

You are at a ballgame, not in your living room.  Everyone takes themselves too seriously.  "You are being disrespectful by insinuating that my son is going nowhere."  OR "What'd you say about my boyfriend guy with the stubbed out cigar and coke bottle full of Jim Daniels?"

Everyone take it easy and let things roll off your back.

yes it's fine to cheer and do what you want if you are in a visitor section...but if your sitting in the home section and you are cheering loudly be prepared to eat crow if your team loses... and take what ever is given back to you

I would say that the big Rivalry is Ithaca-Fisher.. alfred is a nice game but not a rivalry yet.... Ithaca is a rivalry  in all sports.... as far as the seating goes away fans should have their own section and not be intertwined and if they are mixed in they should realize that they are guests and should respect the home fans

superman....

you're dumb.

HA!  what the heck does that got to do with anything we are talking about here!

HAHAHA!  I just got the image of a 6th grader go oh yeah welll,, wellll, wellll, you smell!

Fishers visitor bleachers, as of now, suck.  you can not see the field.  However, they are fixing this problem, supposedly.  Perhaps Pat can elaborate.  Is it true that Fisher has got Mount Union for the next two years?  a two year contract?   I hear they are building the visiting stands in order to meet terms agreed upon in this contract.

As for fans yelling and doing non sense on the home stands.  ITS THE HOME STADIUMS FAULT!  and fans are fans.  you ever been to a philidelphia game, or had a philly fan at your stadium... go ahead and tell him your grandma speal and see what happens.

superman57

I'm not saying don't cheer for your team... I'm saying don't do what the guy tags did... Don't pick on a player when a bunch of parents are wearing the jersey of the kid.... be respectful but still have fun and this isn't Philly... this is d3 people should have fun but remain respectful...that's all that I ask

er1948

IC guys-  As a parent of one of the players the FDC was having fun with, I can honestly say it was mostly on the up and up- parents must develop thicker skin if their kid is on the field- it was an honor to Meet Mr. N at the game last year- I really enjoyed the FDC chant about (where's he going- nowhere!!  Heck, I almost jumped up and started one after that second TD- Where's he going= ENDZONE !!!

S57- MIOH is not really sure what you're driving at here...

Here's what MIOH remembers from the stands last year at Fisher:

The FDC taking over a portion of the Fisher stands and having a block party the whole first half...
Fisher rallies and dominates the 2nd half - A few parents for Fisher get a little Rowdy

FDC chants "NICE GAME FISHER" (while many Bomber parents join in) after the comeback victory. That would indicate a pretty high level of respect to me... I guarantee you... you'll never hear that at an IC-Cortland tilt.

If you want us to bow down before you after we lose... then you better be prepared to do the same

If you want a rivalry... you better be able to have some thick skin

And stop putting all your money into cowbells and buy some bleachers

and

Go Bombers

ER- Let us know if you want to lead the "where is he going" cheer sometime... NSRB usually runs out of gas in the 2nd half on that one.

I hope you will equally enjoy the "Where is Robinson" cheer this year everytime Reile runs for negative yards or fumbles.

Go Bombers

superman57

well I think we can all agree that the solution is that Jose wins a big lawsuit and donates the money to fisher to name the visitor side the FDC bleachers

mioh...I was driving at the fact that I was disapointed by the guy from ithaca trying to get a fight and then I foorget who but a few pages back someone made comments about fisher fans and cowbells toward the ithaca section and I think that the respect goes both way
