Who, among SJF fans, is kind of worried about all the press and honors bestowed this team already?

Reile vs Robinson is great for chat but in reality they are two different running styles and both have strenghts and weaknesses. Reile slashes while Robinson is patient. Robinson will read holes and make 5-7 before the opposite side help shows up. If the hole is not there he will lose yards. Reile will run into a pile if a hole isn't opened immediately but will never be caught by the backside because he will be gone. In the past two years it was Robinson's team and they blocked better for him, just human nature. This year will be considerably different. In addition to Reile, they have Hanson and a transfer in that will give them three entirely different running styles. They will be hard to stop. And Fisher can pass!

The only way Fisher gets stopped short of the semi's is themselves. If they start playing half games likes UR, IC and Brockport or Defensive run lapses like Springfield or MU, they can be beat. However, the program has matured - coaches and players. It is going to be exciting to see if they can put it all together.

A lot of people out there are forgetting/neglecting Ryan Hanson. This kid is thick, fast, and one of the most slippery runners in the league...even more so than Reille. Even if it was late in games, every time the kid touched the ball the last few years has been 30+ yard td's.

Fisher really does need to add some port-o's for every regular season game. They have plenty of room on both sides, even during the IC game.

ok first off read the posts more...we already talked about Hanson...secondly Portos is not the answer the answer is finishing the project with the rest rooms under the home stands and add at least higher visting bleachers instead of what is already there

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

If a permanent solution isn't immediate, the temporary solution should be considered, IMHO.

I did read it I was just alluding to the fact that the first thing that comes to mind is Reille vs Robinson. Hopefully with the overall skill of the offense they won't have to rely on running the ball all day long, like climbing said they can pass.
Bathrooms and visitor seating, unfortunately, isn't at the top of Fisher sports to-do list. The bball court area needs some serious face lifting as with the weight room and life center. Hopefully a nice grant from a football alum will trump them and make growny stadium a niche better

Couple of questions.

1)  Are people forgetting/neglecting him, or has he been 3rd or more on the depth chart the past few years and people don't know him?

2)  Is "every time the kid touched the ball the last few years has been 30+ yard td's" possibly a little exagerated?  I haven't seen many SJF games, so I don't know.

3)  How exactly do you measure/compare the "sliperyest" backs in the league?  Are there stats on this?

Stats on this are based upon the ratio of yards gained to the number of containers of vaseline used per game on players uniform.

Ryan Hanson is legit. I believe that he could have started for almost any other team in the East Region. It's tough to prove yourself when you're stuck behind an All American. Expect big things from #5 this fall.

cardinalfwa

He's had 3 or more games the last two years where his first drive is a 30+ td, like I said it is usually in the 3rd or 4th quarter. And yes with Robinson and Reille getting a number of carries he has been 3rd on the chart. His style is a bit unconventional which I call slippery...hard to describe unless you see it.

Anyone know if IC has any plans whatsoever to get the modified turf? I believe Springfield finally replaced their old school stuff...but is the grass a thing of pride there much like RPI's field?

MachineHead

Its about time someone did something about Springfield's turf. That was a torn ACL waiting to happen

I think its "new skin"...that balm you use when a blister forms. A more medicinal vaseline

while I still have problems with statements such as "I believe that he could have started for almost any other team in the East Region."  At least you accknowledge a bit of what I was joking around with.  He was behind an All_American, people aren't overlooking him or forgetting him if he isn't known.

MachineHead

Agreed. He has to prove himself on the field this fall. But as far as ability goes this kid can run. He's a weeble wobble

MachineHead, current/former player? I hope it's the former! Where from?

cardinalfwa

IC boys I just noticed Struzzi's listed on the roster...any info if he's a prospected starter? If so good for him! He still haunts my dreams

MachineHead

whats up max. Yes former player (at fisher we generally try to avoid getting accounts while we're still playing).  Off season surgery ended my career but I still have a year left at school.
