DP, you are a Rays' fan?  Why?  I am a Tampa guy and worked for the club for 7 years so I am stuck with them.  +k to a Cortland guy.  (That may be all washed out the week of the 10th, but we are all friends right now...right?)

All in all.  Go Bombers.

Cool Jose.  I vacationed a lot in the area and started to get interested in the team.  They are a tough team to stick with, but actually there is finally some real hope.  You've got to figure a top 3 rotation of Kazmir, Shields, and David Price will win a lot of games.  Niemann could be in the rotation by next season, and Edwin Jackson has turned things around in the second half.  Sonnanstine has pin-point control, if he could just induce a few more grounders instead of bombs over the fence.  BJ Upton is quickly becoming a star.

Tecmo - What happened to the practice update you were going to send this week?

Actually I did see it.  There is a Rays fan blog I post to which mentioned it.   I laughed a few times, but really it was on the weak side.

Tecmo/Lineback:  Cubs trade for Trachsel?  An odd move given the way he has been pitching lately.  A good move in that he was one of the top three nicest guys I met in my 7 seasons working in baseball.

Also odd because he can't pitch out of the bullpen.

I think that Traschel is a nice 5th starter who worse comes to worst is some one who is experiance and could provide some nice balance in the rotation

Yeah, Trachsel is a pretty odd move.  I'm quite sure that he has more walks than strikeouts this year. Our bullpen is pitching great, but we sorely could use a long man (as one can see today). That being said, our GM has more or less said Trachsel is going to start, and even mentioned a six man rotation.  Beats me.  I was hoping we'd find a lefty off the scrap heap to relieve.

I must say that I like Sports guy article...because it is true... I have no issue with the original post 04 red sox fans... infact I really respect them... the issue I have is with th epost 04 fans who say the yankees spend too much money and get all the best players...when that is exactly what the red sox are doing
