Yeah, Trachsel is a pretty odd move.  I'm quite sure that he has more walks than strikeouts this year. Our bullpen is pitching great, but we sorely could use a long man (as one can see today). That being said, our GM has more or less said Trachsel is going to start, and even mentioned a six man rotation.  Beats me.  I was hoping we'd find a lefty off the scrap heap to relieve.

NSRB is off for the weekend.  Headed down to 'ol South Hill

5k @ 11am tomorrow after a night at Moonshadows, Micawbers, 2nd Floor, and maybe even the Palms (Coach N's favorite hangout)-  it wont be pretty

I think that Traschel is a nice 5th starter who worse comes to worst is some one who is experiance and could provide some nice balance in the rotation

Well Trachsel at the very least is cheap insurance.  Zambrano is waffling a bit, Lilly has never pitches a whole lot of innings in a year, Marquis is regressing to the mean....

The move to make was at the trading dealine for a corner outfielder.  Looks like a loss today, but I'm feeling pretty confident we'll at least get into the playoffs.  Whether we have the horses to do some damage in them could be another story.

Yeah, I'm sorry but that is overkill.

Remember when Ozzie (whom I hate) brought up that minor leaguer, put him in for one at bat, to throw at someone, and when the kid missed Ozzie screamed at him in the dugout for like five minutes? And he didn't get any discipline? You know, it's okay to use your subjectivity once in a while....

Ozzie is a terrible manager and, from what I can tell, total asshole. Add that to an aging pitching staff and perpetually hurt offense and people are scratching their heads as to why the ChiSox are in last place? It ain't rocket science people. These people had a guy that hits one home run a year in left field for years.
