Forgot the original reason I came on here:

"Seniorwide receiver *Tayer Ashkar (West Genesee/Camillus)* and sophomore fullback *Danny Witbeck (Vestal/Vestal)* also caught their first career pass."

Looks like Ashkar's enraged girlfriend won't be bothering you anymore, Jose.

And so it begins.....

Fisher fans and Ithaca fans are taking shots at each other, I thought it would wait another week at least.  We were getting along so famously in the offseason!

ICemanJK

finally recovered from the long drive to PA for the Bomber victory.  only three FDCers but we made some good noise.  Juvan looked good completing a majority of his longer passes.  receivers had a good day overall too, especially Hogan hauling in two TDs.  O-line/running game struggled a bit though.  no big open field runs, not much went past the line.  Lyco's run-D wasn't overpowering but proved difficult for our line.  Bomber Defense was stellar.  something like 59 yards given up in the first half, 23 rushes for 24 yards.  great showing.

and in other news, iceman took the assistant coach position for the women's softball team here on south hill.
All hail the Booga

JK: Pep is confident that MIYH will be honing the skills of his middle school softball studs in preparation of a promising collegiate career with the Bombers. MIYH no doubt has a softball factory underway in CO.

Max Ian Kennedy was very impressive yesterday...

I need to say that all of this is rediculas... WE ARE NOT BASHING THE PLAYERS... WE ARE BASHING THE COACHING DECISIONS... they are playing to safe this year... I understand why they did it last year because your not sure how durable robby's shoulder is and you don't want to lose him for the season...but this was a win but we have some seriously big games coming up... I'm not sure but there is this small school on a hill that has won a couple of NC's and I think that game might be in 3 weeks

E8PP ANNOUNCER: "We interrupt this regular bashing of SJF coaching decisions for an update from Mayberry. Pep is live and reporting from the Mayberry University campus....what do you have, Pep?"

PEP: "Thank you, Mr. E8PP Announcer. While the Bombers and Fishermen were officially doing their thing in Pennsylvania yesterday, E8 foe Mayberry was also in the Keystone State in an unofficial contest as the Saxons had a skirmish with the Diplomats of Franklin & Marshall at Bucknell University. While I was unable to attend the scrimmage, as I was conducting our Second Annual Band Camp here on campus, I can report the Saxons had favorable results, although no official score was kept. Suffice it to say the Diplomats, from the South Region, were Eager with a Freeman on the team. Heck, the college's administration even got into the action as the Diplomats had a Provost on the field, not to mention a Pediford, who I am required to say has a clean record. The Diplomats also suited up Hogan and his heroes but Col. Klink was nowhere to be found, unless he changed his name to Schink. The Diplomats' offense was on the Fritz after their initial drive, and the Saxon attack had the Diplomats on the Rocks. The Saxons return to the Keystone State for their opener at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 against the Thiel Tomcats in Greenville, PA. Back to you, Mr. E8PP Announcer..."

E8PP ANNOUNCER: "Thank you, Pep, for that name-dropping report from Mayberry. We now return you to our regularly scheduled postings of the bashing of SJF coaching decisions."

Didn't know Cam'Ron signed somebody else.  Hopefully this Freeman kid is Ballin' like Jim Jones.

If people have a problem with the SJF coaching decisions last year and this year they obviously have a problem with being successful.

Ha.  Thanks for the kind words Pep, and no doubt I'll be mentioning IC before the school year is up, but I would not be surprised to see them playing for a national championship with my other alma mater, ASU, or another Pac-10 school in a few years.

A few thoughts from this weekend
I have discovered Gatorade Rain, and I may never grow tired of it.  Plus, the phrase "make it rain" is easily worked in to drinking it.

Saw Superbad last night.  Definitely the funniest movie I've seen in a long time.  I don't think I've laughed that hard since Team America...maybe even before that.

Went golfing with Momma MIYH (MMIYH) today.  She's never golfed before this summer, and isn't all that athletic, but she really enjoys golf, so I was "exited" to go with her today, and her new husband (NH).  We went to a par-3 course suited for kids under 10, and there was really nobody on the course.  Holes ranged from 55-yards to 120, although all but the last one were under 100 yards.  It was really just a bring your wedges and a putter course...MIOH, you would have been in trouble.  Not really suited to your game.  MMIYH was pretty entertaining, and would take mulligans whenever she felt like it, lift the ball and place it for a better lie, regardless of where she was on the course, and swore when she didn't hit the ball well.  All in all, a good time.  NH was trying to teach her good etiquette rules, like talking during backswing, moving across the green during someone's putt, and walking through the line while someone's looking at their putt.  Highlight for me was when NH walked through MMIYH's line, just to be a pain, and then accidently stepped on the ball.  MMIYH picked up her ball and threw it at him.  I was pretty entertained, and it was a very serious game, as you can tell.

Negative. I have a problem with some of their decisions, and I enjoy success.

I specifically have a problem with having any position player play every other series. The player himself cannot get into the flow of the game that way. You're taking talented people and getting only some of the potential out of them. You have a kid who is exceedingly fast once he's in the open field, and the only way you can find to get him the ball is to have him play every other series, and run him up the middle? Look what happened down in Ohio last year for us - he split out & created a favorable matchup, and what do you know he came up with a very big catch to put us in scoring position. Let's take a step back and realize the points I'm trying to make.

Fisher has a good staff, and they are great guys I'm sure. Too many people seem to take this personally, so let's keep this entire discussion in the context of football.

I have had a problem with the last couple of years decisions and I think that with some different decisions Fisher could have been in the NC game last year... I think that they play too cautisoly some times...and I feel like right now playing Hanson is whats best for the team

Tags-good points-- what I have a problem is- with bashing decisions after a blowout win- I can see second guessing after a close tough loss-shudda coulda- if only- etc. I do it myself- what I cannot understand is  doing it  after a 49-7 win. How can a 49-7 win be a bad thing. So on the outside chance that the coaches know what they are doing. I will support them.

This doesn't sound like something a sports fan would say. My favorite sports team is the Detroit Red Wings, a hugely successful franchise, and I use more curse words during their games than any other activity.

the issue  here is we are supposed to blow out kings...but the issue comes with what I said before... there is this really bad, smelly, small school that sits on a hill and is looking for some revenge and we need to figure the offense out before we get to the lousy town with all the gorges...and if I'm right in the last two games Reile has average 2.8 ypc...so we need to see wheter or not Hanson can handle being the feature back
