Springfield at Union next week.  That should be the most interesting game in the East Next week...

Springfield in a laugher-55-17

Must admit I'm a little nervous about playing them this year.

After '06, Fisher plays with a target on its back.....it comes with the turf.

Im more concerned with Ithaca, SJF has proven that they can play assignment football.  SJF has a ton of speed, quickness and experience at LBer and in the secondary vs SC.  They'll be fine vs that one dimensional offense in contrast to IC who mixes it up pretty well.

Pep, did you attend the AU scrimmage?  If so how did the new members of their O-line look?  Keeley is gonna need a strong season out of his O-line to give him time.

Pep was at Band Camp here in Hooterville. Mayberry. (See previous post back in the midst of the bashing of SJF coaches' decisions.)

To answer your question, AU reportedly scored on four of five possessions. Apparently the O-line did okay but they were playing a diplomatic group of fellows.

If that's your audition for drummer in the AU Pep Band, Pep is sorry but the band already has a drummer. But perhaps the Fisher band is looking for a drummer.

+K for the audition, anyway

Gene Lang who??

St. John Fisher College's Anthony Cucit  has been named as the Empire 8 Conference Football Defensive Co-Player of the Week for the week ending September 2, 2007.  Cucit, making his first career start, led his team to a 49-7 win over host King's College on Saturday in the season opener for both teams.  The junior inside linebacker registered a career-high nine tackles and recorded his first career sack.  He also was responsible for two second-quarter turnovers, a period in which Fisher scored 28 points.  Cucit forced and recovered a fumble early in the second quarter.  Two drives later, Cucit intercepted a pass deep in King's territory, setting up Fisher's fourth touchdown of the day.

Do any of you Fisher guys have a contact at SJF who could check on any injurys after the Kings game ?

Thoughts of playing UR this weekend have to make Hanson, Reile and the entire O-line salivate.  They just allowed over 400yds rushing w/ a 6.5yds per carry to CM.

Of course Dennis Dodd thinks the SEC is arrogant.  He grew up in a Notre Dame family and then went to a Big 12 school.

I am not sure that Cal's win proves anything any SEC fan didn't already know.  Erik Ainge eats it and Phil Fulmer is a fat excuse for a coach.  Plus...Tennessee fans wear Jean Shorts.
