Is that the same "new" benchwarmers thats been around for 2 years now?  Whats in the old benchwarmers?  And whens club semesters gonna open again?  Someones got to get on that.  Two years ago I peeked into the side window and saw (no joke), bouncers names scribbled on the side of the front booth that played football for Ithaca in 1993.

I heard Semesters is now a laser tag place.  What are they doing to our drinkin' establishments?

Besides what were you hoping to see peeking in the windows at Semesters JU?  Based on some of the games you remember playing in, I am guessing you would spend a lot of time in jail if you even looked at the girls that go to that joint...

ok realistic-
I did so pages ago...

no need to be smart about it----

ok any predictions-BESIDES IC?

and how bad will the UC RPI game get?

sorry budcrew- looks like a rout in the making...

Here's a different topic for ya Fisher...

Brockport v. Cortland should be a good measuring stick for both teams.

I think we'll find out how good Cortland really is this weekend...  As much as I hate saying it...

C-State- 38
B-Port- 10

Go Bombers

Man OH, not a lot of love for 'Port's recent play huh?  I think C-State wins handily but by 4 TDs?

I'll say: Cortland 24
            Brockport 13

'Port could have made it closer if Bob Darnley came out of retirement to taunt the home fans but, if he did, Mark McDonough would come out of retirement and drill him for taunting the home fans (maybe the greatest late hit in IC history).

My origianl prediction was going to be 31-17...

But I got to see Cortland on tape (granted it was against Morrisville) Their Defense is good... really good.

They are playing at home...

There's no Darnley to "throw darts" anymore

C-State will be in Pat's top 25 next week

On another note...

My guess is that it will be wednesday when Pat shuts down the E8 board next week.
Rowdy will probably be the 1st one thrown off... Monday morning.

I wonder if we will see any exiled D3 Posters this weekend... or perhaps next weekend?

Are you still out there Edge and Keith?????  If you are there's a PBR waiting for you at the FDC tailgate.

Go Bombers.

Only 5 hours till I leave for Ithaca... and one of them is my lunch hour!

JU: I feel you on both counts.

Sorry about the IC nostalgia FisherAlum.  Just so you don't feel left out, I will add a topic you can enjoy...we are going to dominate you next week.

Fisher should have no problem this weekend against Mt. Ida.  They beat them by 50 points or something last year and this year should be about the same.  Although Ida does have one stud player in RB Antwan Harris, he would be good for any D3 team.  Fisher defense will hold him down though.

Fisher 49,  Mt Ida 10

The rest of my predictions for this week:

Springfield 42 Montclair 28
Ithaca 49 Hartwick 21
Brockport 21 Cortland 17  **
RPI 42 Utica 10
Hobart 35 William Patterson 10
Alfred 28 St. Lawrence 7

I know Cortland has a great defense, but Brockport does as well.  They, like usual, are physical and tough.  I think Brockport wins this one but it will be tight.
St. John Fisher College...King of the East

Can't wait for the E8 Championship next week.  Should be a great game between two great teams.  Whoever loses I still believe will earn a trip to the NCAA's though.  Fisher and Ithaca are two of the strongest teams in the region this year.

Mt Ida also has a good receiver named Will Smith....

domninate?

Yeah, I know.  Just thought it might get things going.  It will be close.  Bombers by 10 touchdowns.

Also, a lot of people are believers in SC now.  Do we really think they beat Montclair?

fisheralum91

Utah-
I think their qb is named Favre or something.....

fisheralum91

SC gives clair all they can handle- but i think (and hope) Clair comes out on top by a fg.

realistic

Yeah - I think Monclair pulls it out....but man, that option can give good defenses fits.  They better put up some points, thats for sure.

What does Fisher have, one lousy tainted victory in their entire history against Ithaca?  I hope we put eight men in the box if Soochnuh is still the QB.

I'm with Pat, no way the game lives up to the hype.

Bombers- 38
Fisher- 9

Some good Ithaca memories for you out-of-towners yesterday:

Went back to the Cornell Barber Shop for the first time since "the incident".  Last time I was there, it was just the two owner's sons working.  Apparently they had been fighting all day, and one started yelling at me that his brother is a druggie who can't stay out of rehab..... it was a real treat.  Got a good cut though... they put some new special potion on your neck after the straight edge shave, which feels great!

When I drove into town I got to watch a group of men in black perform on a drum circle, in which they used the sidewalk as their drums.  After taking a peek at them, I was greeted at the very next intersection by a approx. 60 year bad with a "Peace Starts Here" sign, who was kind enough to give me the peace sign.
