And yes I am going to have a tough time filling out my top 10 this week!  If fisher loses than who knows what might happen.  Alfred to 1??  :o

Pep would be tooting his horn all week if that happens

It's good to be the Chairman.

Are you saying he paid off Hartwick to pretend for one game that they didn't suck so they could beat IC?  Is that what you are saying ? ? ? ? Investigation!

should be intresting considering my 2,3, and 4 teams lost this week...  and if fisher loses in my mind it's either RPI or Alfred...but probably Alfred... and I need to do some research but it could be a very intesting poll at least hobart won so we can keep them in the poll and so did rowan

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

I don't believe Alfred has been in the top 25.  Probably the closest they came was two years ago after beating SJF, although I seem to remember a controversy as the first poll following that game did not reflect respect for AU's victory.  A good number of people referred to the poll as a joke.  The next pol showed AU much higher in the also mentions.

The next poll was the final poll -- that win was the last game of the regular season. They did end up with a grand total of 16 points. In the grand scheme of things, an appropriate amount of respect for a team that lost to W&L and whose best win was against 8-3 St. John Fisher.

See ya'll later for the Courage Bowl.  I'm sure most of the Fisher posters will be there?  I wont be but I will be listening intently.  I love the courage bowl.  what a wonderful thing for the terminally ill kids.  its so nice to see them so happy.  And, their "coaching" on the sidelines is a true inspiration for the players.  Makes everything come full circle.  GO CARDINALS!!

Any news on injured Cortland player?  nothing too serious i hope.

One of the parents told me he thought it was at least a bad concussion.  Another mentioned possible shoulder separation or a nasty stinger.  No real consensus.  I saw him move his arms and legs while the EMT's were immobilizing his body, so that was a big relief.

Alfred won the ECAC championship over Bridgewater State (MA) in 1989.  They were controversially left out of the 16 team NCAA field.  Union won the East and went on to play for the NCAA championship.

Pat,

As the cobwebs clear, the controversy may have been that AU had won head on head v SJF but SJF was still ranked higher.  It's fuzzy memory but might be accurate.

Cort_Foot,

AU lost to Widener I believe in the game I was trying to remember - probably early 80's (with different playoff system?).  Bridgewater does sound correct as you mentioned.

Wow.  I'm a little nervous.  U of R is hanging around.  They have a good team and Bielecki, the RB, is a good player.
