Switched the name. Good choice. It has a nice ring to it.

Is Spencer MIYH's hometown? Pep is wondering if MIYH knows a Jeff VanRiper--or any of the VanRipers.

Any relation to Jean Van Riper?

Probably, but never got acquainted with the family. That could be his mother or aunt or who knows? After Mooville, Jeff went on to Potsdam...an accounting major. Pep went home to Alfred to serve a life sentence. He came for a visit a couple years after our graduation.

I know there are a few guys on this board that live in Florida right?  I think Jose does right?
I recently moved to Miami less than a month ago and I love it!  Wondering if anybody else is down here..

I am currently coaching football at Barbara Goleman High School.  In two weeks we are playing the Northwest Bulldogs.  Maybe some of you saw them play on ESPN2 last weekend.  They are the number 1 high school football team in the country.

That should be interesting.  I guess they have 21, yes 21, D1 football players on their team.  Crazy.

Pat,

I noticed that the Team of the Week for week 3 is up.  I'm not trying to be a stickler or anything, so please don't think that.  But Vinson Hendrix, RB from Alfred University, is noted as having 227 rushing yards.  He actually had 257 rushing yards.  Just thought I would let you know.  Keep up the good work Pat.  You're the man!

Saterday is approaching fast.  GO CARDINALS

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Game stats actually show 13 carries for 228 yards. The release listed him as 257 yards. Pep believes the release may have included the additional yards Hendrix ran in order to high-five the bass drum player in the band, who on one occasion beat him in a sprint challenge.  8)

I am in Tampa and a big fan of Florida High School Football.  Northwest is even better than they say.  Trust me.

PG04 is in South Florida as well but not down in Miami.

Sir Spiede, whom we haven't seen much of lately, presumably due to his son's high school football schedule, is in Lakeland in Central Florida.

Naked Nott Run over in LLPP coaches football in Tampa at a local state powerhouse (though, they got beat by my alma mater en route to my alma mater's first state title last fall).

and TDT of LLPP and MIAC fame is in Naples.

Also, Pep is a seasonal resident of DeLand.

Pep counted 97 at his family reunion in July, most of whom reside in the greater Metropolitan Mayberry area.
VanRipers in Spencer could be a similar story....

Pep just got off the phone with Jeff, first time he's talked with him in 25+ years. Turns out Jean Van Riper is Jeff's mother.
