perhaps after last year People have figured him out.  We shall see as they will now have to run the table to have any shot at a playoff spot.

Booby, Thanks for your input.  It is going to be very interesting when the poll comes out.  After all the game was not on a neutral field, if you get my jist.

Jeez -- I figured you'd be less bitter with a win.

A win or loss is irrelevant to logic, rationale or reason.

Then perhaps being less bitter in general would be a good idea. No way to go through life. :)

The repeated reference to bitterness only comes from Mr Coleman.  I am only curious in understanding the methodology in question.  Attacking me and refering to me as bitter only does disrespect to yourself.  Don't put words in my mouth or invent emotions attributable to me.  If you want to bring up bitter, are you -k'ing me because I question the poll?

I have better things to do than smite you.

SJF has a tough road ahead, they travel to Hartwick for a 7pm game, then host a resurging Brockport team, then have to travel to Springfield before hosting Alfred in the season finale.  I left out the Wich and Utica games for obvious reasons, but SJF has a bunch of tough battles ahead.  Hopefully they show the same resolve the rest of the season as they did today!

DewCrew had a rough one on his predictions it looks like.  He picked Ithaca, Springfield, and Rowan to win.  One for three.  Rowan blew Widener out.

I think the new East Region Poll will look something like this:

1. St. John Fisher
2. Alfred
3. Montclair State
4. RPI
5. Wesley
6. Rowan
7. WPI
8. Cortland State
9. Kean
10. Brockport State

This is a tough poll this week.  I moved Kean, Cortland and Brockport in.  I dropped Springfield, Hobart, and William Patterson out.  It's hard to say, because I still think Hobart, and at times, Springfield can be dangerous and are probably good enough to be ranked in the region.  But you have to reward teams like Brockport, Cortland, and Kean because they have won.

Plus, positions 2-4 are tough to say.

What does everybody else think about the Region rankings?  So tough to say.

I guess you aren't talking about the fan poll (you must be talking of the poll Adam does in the Around the east, right?) since Wesley isn't in the East Region technically.  I think of the teams that lost I would keep Hobart in the top 10... Maybe... I haven't done the poll yet.

Yeah Adam's poll is what I'm talking about.  He includes Wesley, since they are included in his Around the Region section.  Yeah I really was at a dilemma with Hobart.  They are obviously good but they lose in tight ball games.  Thats not good.  But I think they finish strong with one more loss to Alfred.  RPI looks to be in good shape for the LL title and automatic bid if they can beat the teams they should.

Fish05,
Your poll looks entirely reasonable.  You admit it is tough to say and that shows your sense of humility.  Althou it looks good for AU it is also a bit scary.  However you logic and reason trumps emotion.  Good job on a subjective task

OOPs, Modification - WPI?  Looks like they haven't beaten a real team yet.  Am I wrong?

How much more of this are we going to have to endure? Really?

AUPepBand

Pep enjoys chatting with tailgaters prior to Saxon games while at the same time "drumming" up support for the band by selling purple pep bandanas. Pep even tries to sell pep bandanas to the visitors! It goes something like this:

"To anyone who is color blind, this purple pep bandana actually looks burgundy, so I'm thinking you might want to buy one for $5," says Pep.
"I think we'll pass this time," says the Pride fan, who thinks to himself, "What kind of idiot is this guy?"

Pep finds another group of Pride tailgaters and stops in for a chat: "How was the trip?' "Great! And you've provided perfect weather for the game."
"Na, it's too hot, but you folks will be fine, sitting on the east side, with Pine Hill keeping you in the shade until mid-afternoon. I'll be getting a sunburn over on the Alfred side." "Can I sell you a Pep Bandana? It has many uses." "Yeah, we could use some toilet paper!" says the Pride fan. We chat about Springfield's lightning delayed opener at Union, about the tough Montclair State team....then Pep wishes the Pride fans the best of luck and moves along while the band, warming up in the far corner of the parking lot, plays "I Dream of Jeanie."

Following AU's convincing 37-7 win, Pep shakes hands with one of the Pride assistant coaches and wishes them the best of luck the rest of the season, suggesting that "If you can help us out by taking care of Fisher and Ithaca, we'd very much appreciate it." The lad actually smiles and assures Pep they'll do their best.

This is D3--football at its finest. Pep looks at fans of AU's opponents as being just like AU's fans and tries to treat them how Pep would like to be treated when on the road. That approach is shared by the folks at Thiel. At the conclusion of the Thiel game, Pep got sidetracked chatting with Oldphart, a Thiel poster, and neglected to grab the band's banner. When returning for it, it was gone. Pep contacted Thiel's SID, who assured Pep he would get it back to us. At last week's game the banner was returned to the band, having been picked up by a Saxon fan the week before. When Pep contacted the Thiel SID to inform him the banner had been found, the Thiel SID thanked Pep for letting him know because they were planning to have another one made for the band! This is D3--football as it should be.

Apparently so.  All I ever wanted to know from the d3 poll is how the decisions are substantiated.  None or minimal  answers were really given, only personal attacks for questioning the decisions.

25 people vote in the poll.  He can't possibly know the rationale for all 24 other voters voting the way that they do.

AU should be a lock for a top 25 spot in my mind. I would imagine that SC is out after today, and AU should drop right into one of the open spots. What Spot? I guess we will have to wait and see. AU has been really impressive if you ask me. In fact I could see them winning the league outright. I am not sure how good SC is, but from everything I have heard this was big win for AU.

Fisher looked good today, especially comming out in the second half. IC scored a big touchdown at the end of the 1st half (Great catch by the way) to get back in the game. Fisher scored on the first drive of the 2nd half, and was on its way from there. 4 drives of over 70 yards really helped control the clock. I think that the E8 is between Fisher and AU from the looks of it. Obviously that is a long way from being decided, but they look to be the two strongest teams thus far.

The final game for both teams could be really interesting if things go the way they look like they are going.
GO FISHER!!!

One more note...we had a great time on the campus of IC today...Tailgators and good times all around...
