I don't think I ever advocated splitting D-III into two divisions. All I've done is resigned myself to it inevitably happening.

sorry pat...I must have taken it as you advoacting a move...pat why would you not want to see d3 split into two divisons

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

04: Oddly enough, John Carroll had to play more than one East team -- all of them on the road -- to win the East bracket. :)

57: I fear that further splitting the division would ultimately result in even less attention being paid to the student-athletes, who deserve more coverage, not less. All of these schools have the overarching philosophy of not giving athletic scholarships. Why can't we all get along?

I dont think d3 will split, but I think the NCAA will have to revist its AQ situation.  I think it takes the fun out of a good non-conference schedule.  Make the Curry college play a Union, Ithaca or Cortland every year.  And untill they can beat them, dont let them in the playoffs.  32 teams is still the way to go, but if you eventually get 200-300 teams, it wouldnt be that hard to add an extra week and have 64 teams.

I remember talking about Springfield before this season. (I dont have the time to find my post).  But you know a school like Alfred had a bunch of coaches basically watch the SC offense last year and memorize it.  Congrats to Alfred on a big win.

Heres an idea: DONT split D3 into 2 divisions. Split MUC into 2 teams and let them play 2 games a week! They have 200 kids on the team. Its possible.  ;D

Actually the starters are only getting 15 to 25 minutes a game as it is now. The backups have already proven they are ready and willing do battle. Plus, LK wont make them step out of bounds inside the 5 yard line anymore! The bad news is....there hasnt been much of a talent difference as you go down the depth chart. Size wise YES...skillwise NO. And the speed differential is not that large either. The future looks GOOD for MUC! Ive seen it ...3 weeks in a row now.

As for playing SJF next year first game of the season.......wonderful!
They have already proven themselves as respected opponents in last years playoffs. A game still on the lips of the fans in my section of the stands, and Im sure elsewhere. SJF gets the BIG BALLS award for even signing the contract. Wisky Whitewater tried it a couple times before and look where it got them! 2 consecutive STAGG BOWLS. You gotta play the best to be he best. SJF can lose the game and still know they went toe to toe with a legend in the making. It will stregnthen their program ultimately. If they win......woe to the next 9 opponents on their schedule. MUC can get revenge in the playoffs later. ;)

Speaking of which, a QB sneak there was just stupid.

Why make him get pounded there, he landed awkwardly, fumbled, etc.  He definitely could have gotten hurt. Why not give it to Maroney who was carving the Bills up for 5-6 yards a pop anyway.

pg04

Maybe they should have cheapshotted Brady as retribution...

if you are talking about #51 (not even going to try it)--- that's too bad. He's a great player.

No, I was talking about the Bills QB who got knocked out of the game due to a personal foul hit to the back of the knee
