so superman is down 10 points going into tommorow night against robby... and I have Reggie Bush and Chris Brown...so hopefully bush can finally do something and Brown can gain some points...

I've given up on the E8 league... at least I'm coasting in my 2 money leagues!  Hurray for big weeks from Phily and Cincy in the last two weeks  :P

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

ok so here is a question...could Welch's job be in jepordy, if Ithaca continue to struggles and at the end of the season is 6-4 or 5-5

Well, PG, one of us had to get our first win.  Three weeks in is a little early to be throwing in the towel, no?

Just a few thoughts on what I saw in Ithaca Saterday:

5. Lastly, I along with everyone else know that AU is going to be the next big test at the end of the year, hope they don't look ahead past Springfield though.  I would like to see some film on Alfred, I heard that Sharpe was banged up in the game (is that true Pep or Kazoo?)  Either way, should be a 2 man race the rest of the way in.

"Saterday"--RunningRobby25 has learned to spell from AU's Gatto. At Saterday's game, an inspired AU fan rose from his seat and AU Pep Band seeing he wanted to lead a cheer, held off a tune and followed his lead.
Give me an "A."   .....A!
Give me an "L."   .....L!
Give me an "F."   .....F!
Give me an "R."   .....R!
Give me an "E."   .....E!
Give me a "D."    ......D!
What's it spell?  ....ALFRED!
Louder!          ........ALFRED!
Who's winning?. ....ALFRED!
Public Address Announcer Bill LaCourse quips, "Some of our students can even spell."

Pep & Kazoo....are in a 2 man race the rest of the way...to determine who is the best source of AU football-related information. Pep will attempt to answer this question but if it isn't accurate, Kazoo will be ready to steal the question and take the lead.

RunningRobby25: Is it true that Chris Sharpe was banged up Saterday at Alfred?
Pep: Chris Sharpe's Pride definitely got banged up. Pep contends that his ailing was probably not so much physical as it was pure dejection.

The (yes, Pat, here it goes) legendary AU Coach Alex Yunevich appreciated his job at little Alfred where "if you have a losing season, they don't burn your effigy." But then, one couldn't help but love the guy--win or lose. And he hated to lose.

doubtful that his job will ever be in jeopardy.  unless they have a few losing seasons in a row.  I think Ithaca finishes 6-4 this season.  With a loss to Alfred, and another to either Springfield or Cortland.

play like what? please elaborate.....

From what I saw, they blocked well, tackled well and made plays on offense and defense when it mattered.

What I'm trying to say was .. I thought you boys were gonna come out of the blocks and run over us end to end and out play us in every sense of the game.

What i saw was decent, conservative football.. wasnt anything to write home about.  Ithaca's bend dont break is crap.. if we had guys trying to intercept and make plays .. rather than trying to contain fisher.. i think the game would have been alot more interesting. it kills me to see us just not engaged in the game... Juvan had his moments along with Bostic.. the rest of the guys just havent shown me much.

Like i said,  not trying to take away from what took place... i just had a lot more expectations from you boys.. you did alright against a mediocre Bomber showing.  (Ithaca)the talent is there.. the communication, motivation, and desire isnt.  From what I saw.. those guys seem pretty content to be where they are at.. a 4-5 team who is gonna chance it with Cortland to save Welch's streak alive...

and here we go again!  NSRB, the game was not even close and could have been much worse.  We did alright?  It was a huge game at Butterfield, and we basically moved the ball at will.  Don't come on here and say that crap.  We pounded you, period.

Us Fisher posters have been very cordial after a big win.  But posts like yours force us to go into a defensive mode.

WOAH WOAH WOAH...

NSRB did not intend to have that effect.  Maybe its the major dissappointment that i'm facing today that didnt allow NSRB to post clearly...

As I said before... I can not take anything away from what yesterday was.  We got beat. bad.  But.  I just expected alot more out of you guys.. expecially after all the big talk.. sure you had your way with us... but i knew if i gave my prediction (betting against IC... i'd lose major karma...  I had anticipated we were gonna get Kramer Krispy Kremed.  So yes... something like 49-6 is what I was expecting.  Maybe I wasnt paying enough attention to Fisherand their successes.. but more the ineffectiveness of the boys in blue, and i'm sure the numbers oh which you have all posted prove that... and thats my fault.

At the same token... the lowly bombers showed some life at least in the first half... (keeping a game close like that, against a playoff team... game will be alot different.  I think you're a good ball club, I just thought you'd be better than what i saw.  Once you fellas play some top 10 teams...  I'd like to see the results. Lets just say I wasnt "Wow'd" for times sake.

Its funny how easily you fellas get riled.  i was trying to make a point in that you were all rather reserved and repectful of a big win on South Hill..  and all the bomber fans do appreciate that.  You've got a good ball club, i'm not questioning that.

NSRB is sorry for his ramblings... no offense is to be made with these.  Bottom line is.. i thought we'd get killed. (and we got beat bad... but not killed) and we all have established that we are not used to losing. (check)and the bombers arent what they used to be (check) and depsite that, fisher fans defend their inability to kill a bad bomber team due to butterfield homefield advantage. (i think there were about the same number of fans cheering on each side by the 2nd quarter.. and about the same number of people on each side by the 3rd... not much advantage there.... and we certainly didnt have bomber weather saterday to help us.

all in all... NSRB is confused by the changing of the times.  no hard feelings Fisher folks... I just expected a blow-out, and I was pleasantly surprised to see we hung in there... at least for awhile... but wound up miserable in the end anyways.

goodnight post-patterners.  NSRB signing off for a long time...

I also have to doubt the fact that Buffalo state got 8 "points" at 1-2 after losing to Cortland while Brockport is not receiving any votes being 2-1 and had beaten Cortland.  Is this some sort of typo?

Let me say that I am not upset about Brockport not receiving votes.  What I am confused (which is a better word) about is Buffalo State receiving votes at 1-2!

I noticed that too.  It must be a typo.  I'm sure it was supposed to be either Brockport or Cortland receiving those votes.

I was happy to see Fisher moved up to #5 once again.  Well deserved I think.  Although some people on here don't think so.

Congratulations Alfred on your first national ranking at #22.  Also well deserved.

It's Probably Cortland, who is the team that beat Buffalo State... I can see how that could possibly get mixed up when thinking of who played who.

superman57

so didn't someone predict that Alfred would get in at 22... Fisher is back at 5 and that is fine...though it could be a very interesting week as we have #3 UWW @ #6 UW-LC... and does anyone have an exact # of consecutive games that Ithaca had won at home vs. Private schools...
