THE KING IS BACK!!!!

Sarge is 100% right.  Hartwick plays Fisher tough when they are at home for night games for some reason.  Great win for them.

On the other hand, Fisher needs to regroup or something because they play a pretty good Brockport team this week and then Springfield on the road.  All of us that has played against Springfield while there at home knows its no cake walk.

AU- keep it rolling, the only game that matters is Hartwick and make it so you wont need to go for it on the inch line to win the game and lose.  OUCH. A midget can fall at least 2 yards.

7's are you comming to homecomming this weekend?

Not a bandwagon jumper, just looking for some respect for Hartwick. Was at the first [3] games of the year and listened to the latest shocker online. I have sooooo many points I'd like to bring up from all the posts that I've read since Sat. night that I'm not sure where to start.

1. I'm not sure why the posters here find it so hard to believe that teams other than the big four may actually be trying to improve from year to year? What do you guys think that there are only 20 or so good players coming out of all of NY state every year, maybe some good players headed to 'wick.

2. Big is not necessarily better, doesn't hurt though.

3. Boltus and the o-line at Hartwick are improving every game and both are going to be back next year, so those comfortable with the current order may want to start self medicating.

To the Hartwick fans attempting to register for the message board -- I know you're new here, but you have to have a real e-mail address. Registering with a fake address gets you nowhere. Please try to read the instructions or the Terms of Service.

MMMMM perhaps some Hartwick players are trying to register and know they will get called out if discovered were trying to hide their identities?

Honestly, it seems to me that most people have been happy and impressed with Hartwick's success....

dood, it's a tough sell that you aren't a bandwagon jumper...but welcome aboard, it'll be nice to have a 'wick fan on here.

I don't think anyone anywhere thinks that 'wick isn't trying to improve (scrap sports if they're not) it's just that they haven't been any good recently.  I think everyone dismissed the IC win as a fluke because they have been so bad.  Obviously this win over SJF give the IC and 'wick in general a lot more credit.  As for "those not comfortable with the current order" don't get too ahead of yourself.  Two huge wins are nice, but AU is still in the Drivers seat for the E8 crown.

Welcome aboard, hopefully you won't disappear after a loss.  As I said, it;s nice to have more representation on hear....but please do us all a favor and save all of the "give us respect" talk.

admirals_vt

Maybe I read too many SJF posters who were reluctant to give credit where due?

Boltus has played flawless the last [3] games; Stepping up in the pocket when needed, taking off when appropriate, reading and taking what the defense is giving him and not throwing INT's.

Points taken I'll try to avoid the cliches. Not sure of your definition of "bandwagon jumper", but was fan before will be fan after and will be critical if need be. Like when Carr went for the pooch punt on his own 39???????????

Hey Does anyone have the ranking for NY State for this week?

I'm also a hartwick guy ... I'm pumped to see them finally winning some games again.  Hopefully they can handle the heat.  I'm so pissed they lost to Western New England in week 1.  Hartwick has struggled the last few years but not too long ago they were winning a lot of games consistantly ...hopefully that can come back.

Bandwagon jumper = A fan who comes out of the woodwork after his team wins a couple of games they probably weren't supposed to, and then a fan who's never seen again when his team finally eats it.

As much as I'd like to agree, I think that Wick is in the driver's seat with wins over IC and SJF while Au still has to play both.  It's Wick's to lose and AU's to win.

BoSox0322

I wouldnt put wick in the drivers seat... I think they still have alot to prove.  Huge game this weekend obviously but looking down the road Wick always struggles against Utica for some reason and they're D will struggle against Springfield.

admirals_vt

Was at the WNEC game.
1. They had [5] shotgun snaps that rolled to the quarterback, coaches seemed to have  adjusted and now going under center more often.

2. Boltus did not look confident with his new O-line (2 Jr's, 3-soph's), took off on several occasions when they were giving him a adequate pocket. Like I said earlier now he is stepping up in the pocket when needed and his first thought is not scramble.

3. D was giving up short passes without much of a challenge, coaches are game planning much better now (ie blitzing and crowding the line if they thing the opposing QB can't get the ball deep consistantly.

4. Gave up kick return for TD, had safety tip drill a deep ball to WR for TD and WNEC coach punched in extra TD with 10 secs left (hope Carr files that one for later)

fisheralum91

admirals--i can only speak for one fisher fan-but in all honesty---the sense of shock is and was devistating.  Yes Boltus played a great game.  Yes you had the lead or tied the whole game---but dont think for one minute that every fisher fan watching those last 2 drives didnt assume that the momentum had swung in fishers favor and that the way they were rolling that they may pull one out at the end of the game.

If they aren't in the driver's seat, then who?  AU still has to play Fisher and IC (and hobart to boot)

It boggles my mind that you would say they will struggle vs. Utica.  It just goes to show the mindset of Wick and its fans.  You realize that Utica is a joke game for everyone else right?  It just means pt for those that rarely play.  (irony gods please do not strike me down for this)

Because none of them have improved in any significant way before Hartwick beat IC and SJF.

If this turns out to be more than Boltus and Crea, who have been good for a few years, then we will believe.
