To the Hartwick fans attempting to register for the message board -- I know you're new here, but you have to have a real e-mail address. Registering with a fake address gets you nowhere. Please try to read the instructions or the Terms of Service.

No clue... i assume someone wanted to come on and say something to attempt to piss everyone off?  I'm def new to posting but not new to the site...

As we have been concentrating on the HC v IC and SJF games, no one has asked why HC had such a hard time v Husson.  HC could have lost that game to quite a low rated team.  ???

I wasnt there so I'm not sure what went down.  I heard Wick played well in the first half and then struggled in the second half ... heres the article

Some of that has to be chalked up to a letdown after a big win the week before and looking past a weak opponent to another big game the following week.

Pep wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Husson as a weak opponent. While Husson is a fairly young program, they are an ambitious program and had hopes of getting into the rugged E8 (as evidenced by their scheduling five of the seven E8 members). They have a pretty solid defense and are presently 4-1. Of course, Pep's take on Husson could fall apart after the Eagles play at Springfield Saterday. Time will tell.

the Husson vs Springfield will be a good measurement stick to see where Husson is...springfield is a middle of the pack team in the E8 and a win would warrant them consideration as a legit team...i wish the NEFC schedule more teams from the E8 even tho WNEC somehow beat Hartwick to begin the year

Pep,

Did you look at their schedule?

Hey Pep,
Great meeting you at the JV game. AU loves their football, my kind of people. Wish I could join the band but the road trips are killing me as it is. Alfred's a beautiful town. Curious that the colleges are right across the street from eachother, were they connected once?

Alfred State College started in 1908 (they've begun their centennial celebration) as the School of Agriculture at Alfred University. It became the Agricultural and Technical Institute in 1948 when it joined the new State University of New York. The Alfred State campus mushroomed in the 1960s, its trade school (campus in Wellsville) was founded in 1966, enrollment peaked in the late 70s and now the college offers several baccalaureate programs.

Pep and his sister are graduates of Morrisville State College (a similar institution near Syracuse that recently became NCAA D3), while Pep's other two siblings are Alfred State grads.

Pep, at a very early age, was sentenced to life in Alfred, although he escaped for a couple of years at Morrisville.

Alfred is a rather unique place.

I wouldn't be so quick to label SC a middle of the pack team quite yet.  They did win the E8 championship last year and as of right now, no one other than AU and "Wick are anything more than a middle of the pack team.  IC 0-2 in conference, SC 1-1, SJF 1-1.

Well they co-won the E8 last year  ;D

But yeah I don't think of Springfield as a middle of the pack team either, I am not taking them for granted this year when they play Fisher and I don't think the team is either.

p.s.  this influx of Hartwick posters is sweet, and a lot of the current posters got their own crap when they first came on because it did appear like they were jumping on the bandwagon, the sincere ones will stick around.  Not everybody can go to Ithaca where bandwagon jumping doesn't really apply since they are always doing well.

I swear there was a Norwich poster a few years ago, does anybody remember that?? It may have been a woman, where did he or she go?  Good times, old school post patterns!
