To the Wick boys,
analysis-

Once again Keeley proves he's the best player in the league.
AU Defense dominates.
Some kid named Zarzycki scores a fluke td late.
And Tone Williams has put on 10 more pounds
AU wins 42-24.

Once again, Sarge is dead on about Hartwick scoring 40 points.  I have been around almost as long as father time (Sarge) and have saw Hartwick when they were a really good teams back in the days of Ty Smith and Ryan Soule.  The league is as close to even as it will ever be.  Dont get me wrong the wins against Fisher and Ithaca were great programs wins.  There are still a few tough games left for Hartwick as well a AU with 3 on the road.  I can honestly say I dont believe they will reach 21 unless Sarge nose gets str8 and he comes out of retirement only to hurt his knee celebrating in the endzone after he scores.

Final Score

AU 42
Hartwick 17

Dubbz graduated adn lived up the road from Soule.  That kid was an amazing high school athlete.  If he was 3 inches taller and 20lbs heavier he would have went anywhere he wanted to.  Still, to today, the fastest kid i have ever raced.

jose- i just read your signature-----follow that up with wick being flounder asking" are you guys playing cards?"

Jose,

In the middle of catching up on posts.  I think a "rare upset" so to speak, is redundant, not an oxymoron.

Jose: Which one of those guys in your signature photo would you say is Pep?

I'd say it's the guy to the left of middle who's a little too close to the guy in the dead center and looking like he might start groping his buddy at any point in time.

Pep didn't ask you, KaZ00!  >:(

Pep chose Morrisville because it had a two-year journalism school and Pep wanted to get right to his chosen career of sportswriting without two years of liberal arts before touching upon his major like at, say, Syracuse or St. Bonaventure. Pep would have happily gone to AU (tuition free) had AU offered journalism or, as it does now, communications

So I assume you soaked up the wit and wisdom of one BMcD while at Morris Vile?

Pep was at Mooville before BMcD....Pep soaked up the wit and wisdom of Bandlow, long-time Michigan State and diehard Detroit Tiger fan, along with Reeder, Leone, Pastore and Hammond. Pep was nicknamed "Alfred" by Bandlow, who said that's all Pep ever talked about.

[(obviously they break it down in # of students.  IC is in the 5000-10,000 student bracket.)  i dont think we'll ever beat ASU.

I'll testify firsthand to that.  ASU is ridonc.  There used to be a "hot or not" type website for the ladies going along the palm walk, but it got taken down when folks started realizing the guy taking the pictures was using a high powered camera from his dorm room without the girls permission.  Whoops. :-)

What i was getting at is that football, as compared to other sports, produces far fewer upsets.

Isn't this just basic probability from 7th grade math?

I can answer that one.  Yes, it is Q.  Also, it's science.

As football teams play so many fewer games compared to other sports, it is virtually inevitable that there will be fewer upsets.  Beware of comparing apples and oranges.

Fish91,

Sorry about Sat night.  I arrived at the Cage a little late and had to view from the hill.  Couldn't get down untill halftime. (Too old)  Milled around concession stand during half with my AU hat hoping to meet you,but didn't get into conversations, only suspicious glances.

sorry saxon---i had a white fisher hat on a glowing red fisher necklace and a maroon  sweater on.
walked around --more like paced for most of the first half and then stayed put at the 20 yard line-- on the left side for the rest of the game.

I'll ask BMcD to pass on a howdy as I believe he is headed to East Lansing for his annual visit on Nov 17th for the MSU/PSU game.  Unless there is a reason he shouldn't, of course  .....

Fish91,

Perhaps we will meet at Growney - or earlier.  If I go to that game I'll probably stay at my sister's house in Utica Fri night. She lives on Pleasant street across from the zoo.  Perhaps we could meet somewhere?  Let's see what develops.

Sarge,

Thanks for expounding on what I was intimating.  I just don't get the Husson thing.  (Still catching up on posts.)
