Agreed, some posters just seem upset that we have the nerve to talk about our team.

This is an exaggeration.  In fact, we have encouraged more HC fans to come and talk about their team.  For that matter, we have begged for fans from Norwich, and more fans from Utica and SC.

OK, hate generalizing. But there are some testy responses out there.

No question that IC, SJF and AU have much longer and gloriuous histories that HC, but it is just that history.

I don't know that Fisher has a "much longer and glorious history" in football.  On top of that, this is just a tired and predictable argument.  The only thing more predictable would be me bouncing our walnut and bronze off your forehead as a counterargument.  But I am not going to do that.

Bottom line last years game means squat.

This is a new year with new players and everyone starts even.

I'm not going to make any bold scoring predictions, because those can come back to bite you where the sun don't shine (I've made note of all predictions so far).

So basically, you are too chicken **** to make a prediction but, have no trouble taunting others that were willing to go ahead and put their opinion out there?

With the 2 conference wins so far like it or not 'wick is in the discussion, as for this weekend. If:

1. AU wins big - HC still in the race, but loses credibilty and is just a feel good story.

2. AU wins close game at end - still a wide open race with many acts left tp play.

3. HC wins by any score - Race for the AQ is essentially over.

If you want us to consider your opinions, they should at least be internally consistent.  How does AU's margin of victory effect the "race" in 1 and 2.  Isn't the outcome, regardless of margin, the sole factor that effects the "race."

Nothing concerning the race will be over after Sat., was just referring to the physiological aspect.

dood get over your self...you have very little chances of getting the AQ...Alfred is too good and Hartwick can't stop the run so they will have a hard time stopping Chris sharpe and two losses basically ends your hopes and you will not get a pool c because you got routed by WNEC

Strong points Soopahmanfifffty7,  I guess my biggest issue is that you win 2 games and all the Wicks are comming out of hiding and everyone seems to have legs for lips.  If you cant stop the run, your not going to win many games.  As far as the game goes, I hope it turns out to be a good one but it probably wont.  Hartwick is about a year or two behind being brought up to get the AQ. However we all have dreams I guess.

i think fisher rebounds to win the E8...i think they beat Alfred at the end of the season and after Hartwick loses this weekend to Alfred they will lose again in a dandy to Springfield

I def. have to agree with you on the E8 Championship.  For what ever reason it seems as lately at least, the title comes down to the Fisher/AU game.  It looks like its going to be probably the game of year (outside the Stag bowl) assuming AU and Fisher wins out.  Looking forward to that one.

Another Hartwick fan here. I really don't want to say much except, that i am so proud of the Hartwick team. they have really impressed me this year. Boltus and Crea especially. It will be one interesting game this weekend. And personally, I think it could go either way. We will have to see.

It was a sad pilgrimmage home from the bars last night in wrigleyville.  Hundreds of people slowly walking silently back from the sports bars. Lilly will bring us a win.

Lineback & Tecmo-  You may have to win it in 5 now... but you'll get it done.  Lilly tonight is a sure thing.  MIOH guarantees a Cub victory in game 2.

soopafifty7 im not a hartwick home or ne thing but i think they deserve some respect...they did just beat the # 5 team in the country... i still think even with a loss hartwick still has a good shot at running the table but i think they will lose to springfield as well...meaning alfred vs fisher for the champ.

Yes, Hartwick is in the driver's seat.  They have the easiest schedule left without an E8 blemish.  Wether they can capitalize, that's another story.  AU is sitting in second place in the race for the E8 in my opinion because of their record, but they do have IC, SJF, and Wick to contend with.  Win two outta 3 and they're in with a win over hobart, correct?
